If UND & CC head into Saturday night tied at the top of the standings, I wonder where the trophy will be that night.

Under this scenario, they wouldn't send UND to Madison because Wisconsin would be the highest #4 seed plus they would be playing at home. If they did, they would be giving the top overall seed the toughest first round matchup. I think our best chance of avoiding Madison and Colorado Springs is to somehow hold on to the #1 spot in the PWR.

I tend to agree with what mikejm is saying about Toews vs. Oshie. Toews very well may (and probably will) end up having a more successful NHL career, but during their time at UND, I believe Oshie has more often displayed the ability to put the team on his back when they've needed him to. I think back to the 3rd period SHG he scored against BC in the Frozen Four last season.

In the latest Pairwise, Wisconsin and Minnesota are tied for the 14th spot. Since they split the regular season series, what breaks the tie? Is it RPI?

I wonder if we might actually see a first round matchup of WCHA teams this year. Conference matchups in the first round are avoided, unless five or more teams from one conference are selected, then the integrity of the bracket will be preserved.

I think that's a general rule they try to adhere to, but with 6 or 7 teams from the WCHA, the committee is going to have a very difficult time.

I have a feeling that when all is said and done, we'll be heading out east. I also have a bad feeling that somehow we'll get put in a regional with BC somewhere.

How about a consolation prize for those of us who picked Kaip tonight!

I think it has something to do with honoring former players (Cherski, Christian, Morelli and Noah) who were named Fighting Sioux Hockey Legends earlier this season. I believe the current players who share their numbers have their names stitched onto their jerseys. I think Malone and Marto also have names on their jerseys.

Didn't Jordan Parise skate to center ice once during a fight and lay down his stick as if to challenge the other goalie? I can't remember the game. Seems to me like it may have been at the Final Five. I remember Zach grabbing him and skating him back to his crease.

No way the NCAA sets the brackets like this and leaves the possibility of another all-WCHA Frozen Four.

If my math is correct, another Sioux win tonight and another Denver loss would flip our comparison with Denver and move us into the 4th spot in the PWR.

Does anybody remember if Wheeler's Final Five goal made Sportscenter last season? I've got to believe it did.
