The Holiday Inn Rivercentre has a special Final Five rate. You have to call them directly and talk to somebody in their sales department, but they make you prepay for the entire stay and it is nonrefundable. We always stay at the Embassy Suites. They have a shuttle between the hotel and the XCEL Center. You should be able to book a room there online.

I used it last year and thought the quality was pretty good. I actually hooked up my laptop to my TV and it worked great. Not comparable to watching a TV broadcast, but not bad either.

PM sent.

My guess would be during the first home game vs. Merrimack, but I'd vote for waiting a week until UMTC comes to town.
-
I agree with either Vande or Genoway to wear the C. My gut tells me Vande will be the guy, with Genoway and Zajac wearing the A's. I'll throw Marto out there as a darkhorse to wear the other A.

I've got to back Brasco on this one. I don't believe he was advertising. He simply posted a link to the ebay auction so everybody could see the jersey he purchased. I would have probably done the same thing if I wanted to share that information with Sioux fans.
-
I see MacWilliam filling one of these spots. He currently plays the point on the PP in juniors, and the game I saw he looked pretty good there.
-
I saw that. But Hakstol will get them straightened out during the intermission. I think we're gonna see the Sioux come out firing and put this thing away in a hurry! Bob Norton already claimed UNH the winner.

Here's Adam Wodon's bracket from CHN: Manchester 1. Boston University (1) vs. 4. Ohio State (15) 2. North Dakota (8) vs. 3. New Hampshire (10) Bridgeport 1. Michigan (4) vs. 4. Air Force (14) 2. Yale (5) vs. 3. Vermont (9) Grand Rapids 1. Notre Dame (2) vs. 4. Bemidji State (16) 2. Minnesota-Duluth (7) vs. 3. Cornell (11) Minneapolis 1. Denver (3) vs. 4. Miami (13) 2. Northeastern (6) vs. 3. Princeton (12)

I came up with the same bracket, except with Princeton and Cornell swapping places.

Several scenarios appear to have Ohio State and Minnesota tied for the final spot, with Ohio State having a slightly higher RPI. It will be very interesting to see how this plays out if this is actually how the final PWR end up.
-
I take that back. Apparently the Northern Michigan & Alaska game will be a factor too. Minnesota is really hanging on by a string.
-
Then cheer for Air Force tomorrow night. Or UMass-Lowell to pull off the upset. I believe wins by either of those teams will knock them out.
-
Running a few scenarios in the YATC tool, it appears to me that Minnesota misses the tournament with either an Air Force win over Mercyhurst, or a UMass-Lowell win over Boston U. Does anybody have any scenarios that prove otherwise?
-
Maybe Big Joe will be able to have a conversation with him in training camp similar to Greene/Paukovich.

Shegos calling it tight.

Notre Dame goes up 1-0 on Northern Michigan early in the first. It's on Fox Sports Detroit.

I have 2 tickets available for the Under-18 tournament at the Urban Plains Center in Fargo. Tickets are in Section 101 at center ice. I am asking for face value ($520) for the pair. Please PM me or email at fargosioux@cableone.net if interested.

I'll never forget when the Sioux won this game, and the announcement was made that UND would play Minnesota in the championship game the next night.
-
I'm not sure I'd agree. I could see either Michigan or Notre Dame getting sent to Bridgeport, leaving the Minneapolis regional open for either UND or Denver. There's not a terrible amout of difference in distance between Minneapolis and Bridgeport from either place. I could see the committee try to get either UND or Denver in Minneapolis in an attempt to limit the number of potential WCHA teams in the Frozen Four.
-
Exactly like that. Alaska scores with under a minute to go.
-
It's crazy to think that we could very well only have 2 teams from the WCHA in the NCAA's this year.

What a way to finish up his career at the Ralph tonight! One of my highlights as a Sioux fan will always be the Hobey Baker ceremony in St. Louis. Definitely an experience me and my family will never forget. Earlier that day, when the Hobey candidates were signing autographs, I stood in line with my kid to get a puck signed. Ryan went out of his way to thank us for making the trip and apologized for not getting the win for us. Just an all-around class act!
