More of a courtesy to jd for the input and whether I could do it without his permission or not, I wouldn't since I would like jd's input first and, of course, his blessing so feel free to push your support for it here. Also, I will take photographs for whoever wants one and my wife will put them on her site in a private viewing folder (i.e. I can email you the password to get into the pictures) and if you like them you can tell me or my wife and she can make a picture and/or poster and/or CD for you. Don't think it costs that much as she uses a third party vendor. However, since I will be drinking, I do not vouch ahead of time for the quality of the picture so view before you decide!!!

I have an email into Jim Dahl asking for his input, but my wife had agreed to buy a bunch of name tag button (like the ones you get at corporate events and seminars that have a normal sticker type front with the plastic covering) and I am bringing them to AH's for the Official Sioux Pre-Game party. Driving "The Bus" (i.e. a Chevy Suburban) and have two maybe four other Sioux fans going with and we are playing nothing but Sioux Championship Hockey DVD's (and the "February 15, 1998 Sioux v. Gophers Five Goal Miracle" game) all the way down.

This is a "give me some ideas" thread, not a "I have the answer for you" thread. As of right now, I will probably just carry around some "Hi! My name is ______" stickers with a black marker and wing it. Unless, of course, someone can land us a "Sioux Spot" in STL with some confirmed attendance and then I will try and have personalized buttons and a sign up sheet.

I would bet closer to 1400... with most non-HE fans cheering for UND as well.

Aussie: When is your flight into Minneapolis. If you can get money back, maybe you can just catch a cab to my house and ride to St. Louis with me and my friends and save the money on the flight to GF and then on to St. Louis. PM me or respond here and I will make arrangements, if necessary, to pick you up at the MSP airport. You game? And, SS.com people, I expect everyone to sneak Aussie beers at the bar when we get there!

A hangover?

Well I looked into everyone having a billboard coming out of their --- but there wasn't enough time for the engineers to design one so I just threw out an option that has been around since the beginning of time and seems to work well at AA meetings (ummm... so I hear.) If we can decide on a meeting place, just assum everyone there with a sticker on their chest "could" be a ss.com member and look at their chest to confirm or.. maybe... just to look depending on the chest. If your single, it appears to be a flawless pick-up line! QUICK EDIT - Just thought of this... maybe we could all get Members Only jackets (this idea will determine how old everyone is depending on who gets this one!).

See secret handshake above... THAT is what we are trying to do!!!! Figure out a way to identify (if desired) and meet fellow ss.com persons. If we can decide on a place and put stickers with our names on, that would be a start...

Would you prefer a secret code ("The rain in Spain flows mainly on the plain.") or a secret handshake (snap twice over right shoulder - dip - double wink with left eye - clap, clap - double dip - spin - moonwalk - elbow tap - highfive to lowfive - finger gun - chestbump). I am up for either one of those as well.

How about this... between now and Wednesday night, maybe we can agree on a beer/pop place next to the Scottrade Center at least a couple of hours to 1/2 hour before the game and I will try and bring both the: 1) "Hi! My Name is _____________" stickers; and 2) [so long as I am not hit with a TM infringement suit by JD] buttons that say "SS.com Member" or something like that? Would that work? And yes, it is creepy, but then again - sometimes in a small way and sometimes in a big way - so are all of us who post on here.

Even though most of us have known of our various "handles" and ID's for years, time and distance and lack of opportunity (and a desire to by anonymous like that Gopher rube Happy because he knows I will punch his big fat mouth... ... just kidding as we all know that I and everyone else loves Happy the Gopher Lover) have prevented us from being able to ID each other at a glance. Therefore, I now propose and am looking for ideas as to now we should announce our ID's for FF purposes so we can get together and drink and/or socialize. I am up for anything from buttons to black marker on t-shirts to full-blown ironon transfers. Any ideas. And, if I get enough, maybe I can arrange to have them made and hand them out to those ID'ers that I meet at the FF in St.L. Suggestions PLEASE!!!

Thanks a lot for the info from a Sioux Fan in the cities. I especially appreciate the knowledge that NE St. Louis, MO is cosmo as opposed to "not so cosmo" across the river. Do you have any desire and/or pull to get us a designated Sioux Bar for the FF?

They better... and if they don't... just send around a big jar at the student union and a paypal email to us alumni and I/We will fill the jar with as much money as we can afford if it means a raise for Hak and keeping him around.

Just booked one room at the Omni a couple of hours ago but could call to see if I could trade up to a "double" room if more are interested and - of course - I would love to see '80 and '82 as well but I thought the current schedule with Mich State being first and BC being last is poetic in that we will see the last first and - probably - the first last. In any event, got room on the bus and willing to make room in the room.

Hey Fore... are the lower bowl going for face? If so, let me know ASAP as I am about to get upper bowl tickets for face but would take lower bowl in a heartbeat.

AND... that DVD player in my Z71 will be playing the following hit shows: 1) The 1987 UND v. Michigan State National Championship Game; 2) The 1997 UND v. Boston U. National Championship Game; 3) The February 15, 1998 UND v. U. of Minnesota Game (i.e. the 5 goal miracle); and 4) The 2000 UND v. BC National Championship Game. Now THAT is a Frozen Four road trip! Or $1285.71 per person. Which - and I am not being cheap here - is WAY too much money for 4 cases of beer (even in Canada)!

If this is true, than I will let you know by 9:00 p.m. tonight as that is when I will know if my 3rd guy is in or out.

OK. As of right now it appears that it will be me and another guy and possible another guy (if he can convince his girlfriend). The vehicle in question that I will be driving is a 2005 Chevrolet Suburban Z71 (with DVD player) which holds 6 comfortably (and 7 if the back three are 165 or less). If I am driving down 3 I might as well drive down 6 (again... Sioux fans only please or other fans who swear to Sioux allegiance and will have to wear one of my Sioux jerseys that entire trip to prove it). Anyone else interested?
