Wisconsin is ranked 10 (and yes I know that rankings don't mean "anything"!) and we lost to them in their own barn. We lost to Tech in their barn. We gave one to CC in our barn. The fact of the matter is this... the WCHA is too tough to sweep ANYONE at home, let alone away. If we split the entire season... with the WCHA non-conference performances to date... and with the RPI/PWR calculation formula... even if we finish 5th in the league we would still renew our chance at a National Championship. Yes, I would LOVE to win the WCHA, however, if I had the choice, I would trade the McNaughton cup for the Red Baron (or whoever it is this year) Final 5 Championship with a shot at the national championship any day! Patience... these guys are too good to have a game lke this every night... Night, night time...

Yep... This game already reminds me of that game was played at Mankato about 4 or 5 years ago when we had like 52 shots on goal and lost 3-1. We have EVERY opportunity and the other team scores on our misses...

I think Owens is a class act. He is always complimentary to ANY team (even if his team wins 10-0) and seems genuine about it. Even tonight, he doesn't do the fakey "they are way better than us... we just hope to compete and learn from this game" crap. Just compliments the good and keeps any negative thoughts about the other team to himself while at the same time volunteering the problems his own team had/has/is having without degrading them. I like that... But I also like the old Deano style of "F@#% them if they can't take a joke!"
