Adam was a co-worker of mine during his time at UND. He was a nice guy with a great sense of humor and always had a smile on his face. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Anyone heading to Duluth for the opening of AMSOIL Arena on Dec. 30? Tickets went on sale yesterday and apparently sold out within minutes. I was hoping to make the trip, but unfortunately a Thursday night game does not fit with my work schedule. If only it was on Friday instead.

Some friends and I plan to attend the Saturday game in Mankato. It will be our third road trip of the season (Bemidji and Omaha being the other two). Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we won't have too much trouble traveling to and from the game. Does anyone know if there will be an Alumni party? We went to the one in Omaha and had a great time. Also, any recommendations for hotel, food, etc?

Rumor has it Forbort and Simpson will rotate this weekend so we might see Forbort tomorrow night.

Whoa, I'm surprised to see Eidsness starting. Dell didn't face a lot of shots last weekend, but I thought he played well. On the other hand, Eidsness has a lot more experience. The only thing that worries me is that he hasn't played in 4-5 games. I hope he's not rusty.

Whoa, what is with all the negativity? We killed off 8.5 minutes of penalty time and out-shot them. It sounds like we had a couple of good chances in the first. Hopefully we will be able to find the back of the net soon.

When Michaelson announced that he needed more time to make his decision I had a feeling he would end up at Minnesota. While I understand that you cant win them all, I wonder what factored into his decision. The Gopher hockey program is in a state of disarray with Mariucci Arena half empty most nights and fans calling for Lucia and Hill to be fired. Not to mention a litany of other issues. Also, if there is already concern about how Michaelson is progressing why would he choose a program that in recent years has been criticized for not developing players? With the state of the Gopher hockey program today it seems like a gamble on his part. But who knows? Maybe by the time he steps into the program things will have turned around completely and he will have a nice career. With that said, I know that the Sioux have some good recruits coming in and Im anxious to see how this season and the next few seasons pan out.
