The big rumor circulating on Twitter is that Tommy Vannelli (freshman defeseman) is leaving the Gophers. The Medicine Hat Tigers own his CHL rights.

If true, I am not at all surprised. I honestly believe that as long as Don Lucia is the coach of the Gophers the rivalry will not be 'renewed' (*I would love to be wrong on this). Lucia has a strong opinion of UND hockey and he holds the reins. His stubbornness is unfortunate because it's the fans and players (on both sides) who suffer. Obviously both teams will be fine without regular games, but it's still a bummer to see one man put an end to such a historic rivalry.

Via GF Herald - Denver has new ticket policy for series against North Dakota I believe Western Michigan also has a similar policy for the UND series. On the NHL side, a handful of teams are implementing these types of policies for games against the Chicago Blackhawks in order to keep all the red out of their arenas.

I'm not sure if Greenway has visited campus. In today's Herald chat, Schlossman mentioned that he believes there are several local guys that have the potential to play DI hockey, but the only name he threw out was Colton Poolman. I imagine the coaches are tracking the other guys you listed. Also, Cameron Hughes (Spruce Grove Saints, AJHL) might be one to keep an eye on. He's another 96-born though.

It looks like Nathan Noel recently signed with the St. John Sea Dogs (QMJHL) I haven't heard anything on Greenway in a while. The Plymouth Whalers hold his CHL rights. EDIT: I found an article from June in which Greenway says
