The whole process was started and is being dragged out for one reason....to decide on and institute a NEW nickname and not continue just as North Dakota without a nickname. Could I live with just being North Dakota...yes. Will that happen? IMO there is zero chance that is the ultimate result. Think of the outrage from the general public on the waste of time, effort and dollars spent to essentially come up with nothing. I am resigned to the fact that there will be a new nickname ultimately chosen........but one the will cause me to regurgate small amounts of vomit in my mouth every time I hear it.

Back home? Committee? Quantify that please. A far greater % of those you speak of could not give a _____ than those who do......and that again is probably 1% or less of everyone that cares and has a stake in this name change.

My question is where is the voice and common sense of the students athletes, past and present, on this committee?...minus Karl as he seems to be all about "intangible" names at this point. Seriously.....they OK with current or future athletes at UND being known as Sundogs? Fighting Green? Green Hawks? Pride?

Logic left the room when a "yes" vote came forth for Artic Blaze, Blizzard Dogs, Storm, Wings and Big Green (just to name a few) to comprise the 64 finalists. You are asking that some actual thought procees that would include reasoning would need to take place in your scenario above..........won't happen!

Why shouldn't they be? This whole process has been embarrassing from day 1.
