Didn't play last week and moved up to #8 in Pairwise. Split with a crappy team and now at #12. A split next week won't help much. Getting swept will put this team in a huge hole.

For this team to maybe gain some consistency JJ, Mismash and a couple others need to play like last night every night........not vanish for the next 2-3 series. Thome needs to get the start Friday at UNO. IMO Yon and Kawaguchi are the 2 forwards that sit if Jones can go next weekend.

Beating a team above us in the Pairwise would help........kind of like last night's loss killed us.

Hopefully it'll vault UND to #12 in the Pairwise!

Just wish this squad could find a way to put back to back good games together some weekend

Kawaguchi is one of the worst forwards as far as playing along the walls I've seen at UND in a long time. He has decent open ice skills but UND doesn't play race horse hockey.

Totally agree with your last point...... but who is that at this stage? If Jones gets healthy put Gersich and Adams on the wings? Adams is not a center yet he has been forced to.play there like last night. 30 games.....30 different lineups but Berry seems to be grasping for combos to click. ......and IMO Adams should see the ice over Kawaguchi right now.

It has been 9 periods since any forward on this team has scored a goal. If I was a betting man I'd wager that even I have a better chance of "scoring" on Wednesday night than do multiple forwards tonight.

As I stated previously last in the NCHC in scoring offense. This team is talent poor overall at the forward spot. Half....7.....of the rostered forwards have not scored a single goal in the last 7 or more of the games they have played in. I'm all in favor of optimism until it completely overshadows reality.

Leclerc would win the Hobey if CC just played UND all year too so there's that.

TH and Ollie said the same thing on radio last night..........these types of games are a recurring theme. Bad goals, bad penalties, bad PP, unable to sustain momentum after a goal.........and no offense from the forward group. Now UND will will probably win 5-1 tonight and some will chime in on the offensive juggernaut that this team is like after UNO Saturday but stats and the eyeball test tell a different story.

UND is last in scoring offense in the NCHC. 6 out of the 12 forwards in the lineup last night have not scored a single goal in their last 7 (+) games played....Simo, Kawaguchi, Yon, Bowen, Adams and JJ (Hoff is in that group too). So this team is asking Gersich, Pogo, Smith, Gardner, Olson and Mismash to carry the scoring load up front? Geeeeeeeeeeerez................. #wherearethebluechippers

Mediocrity? This squad hasn't won a game in a month............ I'd take mediocrity right now.

Gardner with the hat-trick..........3 minors. CC had the worst PK in the NCHC but UND's PP is just soooooooo bad. ........and make no mistake Berry is fed up with Cam's poor play and soft/bad goals. Thome will start tonight.
