$1.8M will be spent in ND to "urge" citizens to wear a mask. Total waste of money IMO. Burgum should, at this point, institute a mask mandate in ND based on Redfield's comments that wearing a mask will be as, if not more, effective than any vaccine. Then Burgum should mandates that all businesses, schools and life in general in ND fully open up and get on with it.

The Minnesota Department of Health is now changing how they report their hospitalization numbers on their webpage dashboard since the overall Covid19 patient hospital volumes in the state have dropped from the 600s to the mid 200s on a daily basis. Those numbers aren't scary enough now so the MDH is switching to reporting a model to report "severity and capacity". Maybe Ranger can explain why this was done?

Just visited with a buddy from ATL metro. His son is in 5th grade. Son has been in school for 7 weeks face to face. 3000+ kids in the school. Not one postive among students, teachers or staff. Masks not mandated but recommended.

Redneksioux should feel safe leaving home by next summer. Fauci said there should be 50M vaccine doses by November, 100M by December and 700M by April..........but let's face it that if that actually happens that still won't be the end game. If masks and a vaccine aren't a panacea to "normal" what's taking place right now in the country to have a "happy medium" isn't working nor is it sustainable. Don't worry though.......Joey B. will lock things down for awhile given the opportunity.

You are looking for a specific solution when there isn't one. Anyone who understands virology isn't ignorant to this. This is unfortunately a virus that preys on the elderly especially those who are not well or healthy to begin with. Not letting kids go to school or participate in athletics isn't the answer. No fans at HS VB in MN isn't the answer. State and/or national lockdowns definitely aren't the answer. Redfield said masks are and will be as effective as any vaccine. I know someone on the national vaccine tasks force and as of now any vaccine in trial shows limited efficacy on the elderly. At some point we all need to shallow the reality of what this virus is and who it really effects and come to grips with it. Mask, quarantines, lockdowns, vaccines, blah blah blah, aren't going to give you the answer you are looking for. But at least the U of M is testing sewage on its metro campus in hopes of finding "positives" so to close down its campus for the year. Can't make this s@#t up......no pun intended.

Sounds like the city commission in Fargo going to push thru a mask mandate for the city within the next couple of weeks. As one city commissioner stated..."it's a matter of life and death". Anyone hear this comment before in the last 6 months???
