That is hopefully a good sign for Drew and the Sioux. I would love it if he was able to play at the Final Five, but if there is a chance to reinjure it, having him wait until the Regional might be best. Speed recovery Drew!

Big keyword there with IF. I really don't like being down all the time in the series opener. Sioux need to really come out strong tomorrow. Get physical, wear the Mavs down... And hopefully Stafford can come back and play.

I agree. A great chance for him to show what he is made of in his last few games as a Sioux. He should do very well taking Fabian's spot.

Sounds like the pressure tactic from Eaves didn't work. I would expect to see him in either a UND or UMN uniform in 07-08. Hopefully he follows his brother to the Sioux!

If the Sioux win the play-in game on Thurs night, they will play the Gophers on Sat night.

From what I understand, the only way that the Gophs won't get sent to REA would be either if the Sioux move down to a #4 seed, or if they move up high enough in the PWR that it would mess with bracket integrity by having a #1 overall seed in the same bracket as a #5 or 6 seed. So, if the Sioux can manage to beat Mankato, and then win a game or two at the F5 against TUC teams, they COULD move up in the PWR enough to force the NCAA committee to send UMN elsewhere. Am I correct in this assumption?

I agree that Elliott had the better weekend. He faced more shots, played against better opposition, and only let in one more goal than Parise. That said, Tech has improved this season, judging by their record and league standing. That's good to see an old hockey power get out of the cellar like that. And the fact that they got at least a point in the 3 weekends before playing the Sioux against some very good competition (UMN, UW, and SCSU) shows that they are improving.

I was at the Sat UW/SCSU game, and the Huskies definitely got the better of the chances. Elliott bailed them out a few times.

Which rookie did he share the honor with? Congrats to all 3, would have been sweet to see them sweep the awards!
