  1. Great night of hockey. Sioux win. BSU wins. UMD pounding DU. END THEIR SEASON DOGS!!
  2. YES!! Sioux win, and UMD scores again! Bury the Pios UMD!!!
  3. BOO! Cmon UMD.
  4. As did UMD last night against DU...they looked to have scored the tying goal with 7sec left in game, but it was disallowed.
  5. Zajac is coming up huge in this series!
  6. Wow, hopefully he is OK... How many players for the Sioux can go down with injuries?? Sounds like he is ok though.
  7. They don't start for another 20 min or so...
  8. 1st period over.
  9. Darn right it would be.
  10. Good to see Ziggy play well in the postseason for the Dogs! GO UMD tonight!! Go Sioux, keep up the intensity.
  11. Big keyword there with IF. I really don't like being down all the time in the series opener. Sioux need to really come out strong tomorrow. Get physical, wear the Mavs down... And hopefully Stafford can come back and play.
  12. I agree. A great chance for him to show what he is made of in his last few games as a Sioux. He should do very well taking Fabian's spot.
  13. Sounds like the pressure tactic from Eaves didn't work. I would expect to see him in either a UND or UMN uniform in 07-08. Hopefully he follows his brother to the Sioux!
  14. If the Sioux win the play-in game on Thurs night, they will play the Gophers on Sat night.
  15. From what I understand, the only way that the Gophs won't get sent to REA would be either if the Sioux move down to a #4 seed, or if they move up high enough in the PWR that it would mess with bracket integrity by having a #1 overall seed in the same bracket as a #5 or 6 seed. So, if the Sioux can manage to beat Mankato, and then win a game or two at the F5 against TUC teams, they COULD move up in the PWR enough to force the NCAA committee to send UMN elsewhere. Am I correct in this assumption?
  16. Let me guess...every SS.com goal will be disallowed due to high stick, kicked in, delayed penalty, crease violation, etc?
  17. I agree that Elliott had the better weekend. He faced more shots, played against better opposition, and only let in one more goal than Parise. That said, Tech has improved this season, judging by their record and league standing. That's good to see an old hockey power get out of the cellar like that. And the fact that they got at least a point in the 3 weekends before playing the Sioux against some very good competition (UMN, UW, and SCSU) shows that they are improving.
  18. I was at the Sat UW/SCSU game, and the Huskies definitely got the better of the chances. Elliott bailed them out a few times.
  19. Which rookie did he share the honor with? Congrats to all 3, would have been sweet to see them sweep the awards!
  20. Don't tell other people that Kessel isn't deserving of an award that he clearly is deserving of.
  21. Take off the green-tinted glasses. Why is it so hard for you to acknowledge that a non-Sioux player had a good season?
  22. This argument is retarded. Kessel will win the award. And he deserves it. Oshie and Toews both had great years as well, but I have a feeling that they will come up a bit short in the race for the ROTY.
  23. Agreed. They have been getting their chances, so if they start putting some of those chances in net (combined with the increased scoring of the freshmen and the Stafford line), that could make the Sioux very dangerous in the playoffs.
  24. I would say that UMN is probably one of, if not the, best team in the country right now. They are playing very well. Fortunately for Sioux fans, with the one-and-done format of the NCAA tourney, anything can happen. They just have to make it. Kessel will win the ROTY. And he deserves it. Oshie will come up short, but he is going to be very fun to watch in his future year(s) here at UND. And with how Toews has come on lately, they will be quite the duo in the next year or two.
