Yeah, the 2007 class is really starting to shape up with the recent addition of Malone. Add in Trupp and you have a couple of very elite forwards for next year's class. And with Cichy and Kristo (or is he 2009?) on board for the following year, it looks like we will have a VERY good group of forwards for the years to come. If we add David Toews to that 2008 group, I would just be giddy.

Evidently he suffered a foot bruise in the Sat Maine game. He played in the Fri night MSUM game, but sat out the Sat game. I would think that he should be good to go.

No love for Lammy or Grieco on this thread I can see. I'm not about to lose faith in either of them this early in the season. The team has played very well the last 3 games...if you take away the 2nd periods. It seems that's when they get in penalty trouble. I'm not about to blame either goalie for the fact that our PK units had a rough go of it for a game or two. Hak and Co will work on that with the boys and get it straightened out. I have confidence in whichever goalie gets put on the ice. See which one looks best in practice during the week and then see what he can do in that weekend's games. Hopefully Toews, Lammy, and Kaip get the green light to play this weekend....

Agreed. At least we know that if he decides to go the collegiate route, that he will be going to UND. And you aren't that old if you bought your books at the Union. When I started at UND in 1998, books were still being sold at the Union.

It appears that their top line is Nodl-Gordon-Dey...and it looks like a vast majority of their points come from this line. With last line change, hopefully the Sioux can matchup a good defensive line against these guys and then put the DOT and Porter/Miller/Kozek lines out against their weaker lines.

Why no love for Porter? I agree with rw77 ( )....Porter could have a very good year if he is paired with the right players. I think that once the team starts finding their scoring touch, Porter will start to add to his point total nicely. His goal against WI was very nice...picked the top corner on Elliott from the slot. And I think that every team (and line) needs a player like him...always hustling, moving, grinding the corners, getting in front of the net looking for loose pucks to slam home. If I were Hakstol, I would keep him on the 1st or 2nd line for those reasons.

From the sounds of riders06 review of Marto's play, he appears to be one of their best dmen, but I am not sure how good that is with how many goals they are giving up. He might be a player that we have to wait until we see him next year to compare. I would take that as well!

Sounds like the Sioux got a heck of a recruit in LaPoint. I look forward to seeing him next year. With Marto, is he on a crappy team or something? Sounds like he is still a smooth skater and doing well defensively, but I'm just wondering why he's not putting up that many points, even just assists.
