  1. Yet another reason that the Sioux should get at least 3 points.
  2. It helps that UW isn't nearly as good at the transition game as CC is. CC is so fast and their dmen can transition the play from their defensive zone so well. UW won't have as many odd man rushes because of this IMO. I would like to think that a veteran Sioux team could get a sweep against a young UW team, but being that UW has looked good and the fact that the series is in Madison, I'd be happy with a split. UW has some talented freshmen, although Tech proved that Turris can be kept off the scoreboard when he isn't playing teams like Robert Morris (just 1A on the weekend). I think if the Sioux can stop that first line from UW with Turris and Street, that they should be able to get at least 3-4 points on the weekend.
  3. So were #7 and #16. I don't know who those guys are, but they must not be very good!
  4. Are you kidding me? The team has one poor game (well actually, 2 poor periods, as they dominated the first period on Sat against CC) in their first 7 games and all of a sudden all is lost. You're insane. No scoring beyond Oshie and Duncan? What about Kozek? Frattin? VandeVelde? Kaip? Watkins? Those guys have 18 points already. Please stay away from sharp objects during the course of the season.
  5. Hmm. Interesting. I wonder what his reasoning was? He may not get too much playing time this year, but I'm guessing he would have started a game against MSUM, UAA, etc. And then next year he would have challenged for the starter role with Eidsness and Walski. Too bad about Frattin. I'm assuming that he suffered an injury in the CC series? Hopefully he's just out for the UW series. It will give both Radke and Forney a chance to be in the lineup I guess.
  6. His parents planned for him to be a Sioux when he was named.
  7. Great play by Bachman tonight. He stole that game for CC in the 1st period.
  8. But it's not.
  9. That better be a 5x3 for the Sioux.
  10. Umm...no.
  11. I agree. Trupp is an offensive talent. He needs to get off that 4th line.
  12. Well that's no good. Not really a good call on Bina that lead to that goal.
  13. Great move by Watkins, but an even better pass from Finley from his own zone.
  14. It seems that alot of Sioux dmen are falling at bad times this series. Walsky walked right in there.
  15. Tech shows UW that they are for real tonight too. That's good to see. Maybe bring some of those UW fans back down to earth too. I am still surprised by that DU/UMN score. Sounds like the Gophers did not play well, but I didn't see the game, so I can't comment.
  16. The CC goalie was screened by his dman. Nice job Finley!
  17. Nice! Great backhand from Kaip off a great pass from Frattin.
  18. Need to tighten down defensively.
  19. That goalie gave Duncan that goal. Gotta cover that top half buddy. Nice play by Kozek to break up that 3on1.
  20. Why didn't one of those defenders take the body on Sweatt?
  21. That's weird that the Badgers aren't scoring 8 goals when they play a team that isn't Robert Morris.
  22. He didn't look gun shy on Saturday. He was getting chances right in front, hitting people along the boards...it looked like he had been in the lineup the whole time. That's great to see, this team could really benefit from a healthy Michael Forney if he continues to play like that. Plus, he doesn't appear to be as penalty-prone as Radke.
  23. I would agree about Turris. 8 of his 12 points came against Robert Morris. Robert Morris made UW look like they ran on offensive system. My guess is that Turris' point production will significantly drop once UW begins their WCHA schedule.
  24. That's right, I said it. What are you going to do about it? Did Dirty get a boyfriend over the course of the weekend?
  25. Big loss for Tech if it proves true...
