    Nice! Congrats to those players!

  2. Oops, sorry, I posted that over on the other thread too. Didn't check this thread first.

Yes, how will WCH spin this? And what are his thoughts on his pre-season prediction of Duncan not even getting 10 goals the entire year because Oshie and Toews were gone?

    :whistling:

  3. Not sure if this was posted elsewhere...but, can't say that I'm surprised after how he played in ND a few weeks ago:

    Mankato's Bruess suspended again

For the second time in a month, Mankato forward Trevor Bruess has been suspended.

The WCHA announced he has been suspended for one game because of his actions in last Saturday's league game against St. Cloud State. In that game, Bruess had a pair of kneeing penalties -- one a five-minute major.

The suspension will be served during Friday's first-round playoff series game against Wisconsin.

Bruess also was suspended for his actions during a Saturday night game against UND on Feb. 14. In that game, Bruess also was penalized for kneeing. In another unpenalized incident, he took Sioux defenseman Derrick LaPoint into the boards from behind. LaPoint broke both bones in his leg and is out for the season.

  4. To be completely honest, BU is the only team in the nation that scares me. 31-9 is right, BU can score on three lines and all their D. Colin Wilson is a force....Not many players in the nation that can play with him one on one based on his size and skill. They are a dangerous team this year, but saying that, I'd love to play them. They have a defense who is agressive and jump into plays and aren't too disciplined. We can take advantage of that.

If we play BU again, hopefully it just wouldn't be a repeat of the 5-1 thrashing that they put on us in the 1st game of the season.

Granted, UND has gotten alot better since then...but maybe they have too! :whistling:

  5. All the teams being mentioned are great, but they're all human and have been beaten by the likes of Providence, Ohio State, Miami...

Providence I'll give you, but I think OSU and Miami have decent teams this year. Both of them are inconsistent, but they've still managed to get some good wins and both could make it into the tourney if things go their way.

  6. The teams I'd want to avoid until the Frozen Four are the ones mentioned, BU, UMich and ND.

I'd throw DU into that list as well, especially if they get Bozak back for the F5 and beyond.

I think UND has the talent and the experience to win it this year. But like has been mentioned, it depends alot on who they draw in the regionals. You've got to beat good teams to advance to the F4 regardless...kind of like the year the Sioux had to beat BC and BU...in Boston...in order to advance, but if they have to face BU, UM, ND, or DU in the regional, that would be tough. Odds are that one of those teams will be the #1 seed in UND's bracket though (unless the Sioux can win their way into a #1...).
