  1. The game doesn't start until 7:35pm.
  2. William (Atlanta, GA): The Sioux always seem to start slow (.500 in the winter the last few seasons), then seem to turn on the jets to finnish strong enough for four straight frozen fours. Do you guys forsee the same second half turn around and if not what do they need to do to turn it around this season? Jess Myers: I don't foresee as big a second-half push by North Dakota this season for some reason. Something just doesn't feel right. I'm reminded of the 2001-02 NoDak team that had no good reason to struggle, but did anyway. These Sioux have some talent, are struggling for some reason. The 01/02 Sioux team had no good reason to struggle? They dressed like 11 or 12 freshmen a night. I'd call that reason enough. This year's Sioux team is one of the more experienced teams in the league...if they continue to struggle, it won't be because they are young.
  3. I can't believe that you're getting so worked up about a comment that was made during the Miller Time videos. Hextall was obviously kidding around with Eidsness during that video. Do you really think that Brad threw his stick, water bottle, and then threw a temper tantrum after Hextall scored on him in practice? If he did, it was probably done as a joke. From what I have seen of the kid on the ice DURING GAMES, he has remained calm and poised during pressure situations. I haven't seen him react differently, even when he has been scored upon. That said...all goalies are crazy to begin with, so yes, I would be comfortable with a headcase between the pipes.
  4. So anyway.... back to that series this weekend with the Bulldogs.
  5. Yeah, I didn't see it in there until after I posted it in here. Oops. A sweep would be nice to see. Hopefully the Sioux can come out fired up.
  6. Nice. Brad is WCHA co-ROTW. http://www.areavoices.com/undhockey/?blog=36662
  7. This game is never going to end. They're going to run out of players soon.
  8. You wonder about one of our most consistent forwards? He definitely plays with an edge...but not to the level of a Kaip or a Prpich. But he is already showing way more offensive upside as a freshmen than those two did. I'm not worried about him at all.
  9. Other scores: 3-1 Miami over MSU final 8-6 BC over UNH final 1-1 DU and SCSU end of 2nd 3-1 CC over MSUM end of 2nd 3-0 UW over UMD end of 2nd 2-2 UMN and MTU final A couple UMD players have gotten fighting DQ's in the UW/UMD game, so next Friday the Bulldogs will be shorthanded a bit.
  10. Other scores: 2-0 UW over UMD, end of 1st 2-0 Miami over MSU, 10min left in game 7-4 BC over UNH, no clue on time 1-0 MSUM over CC, end of 1st 0-0 DU and SCSU, end of 1st 2-2 UMN and MTU, final
  11. Just another Badger recruit that can decommit in a few years since Eaves is over-recruiting.
  12. I was going to say the same thing about your posts from earlier this season.
  13. I don't think LaPoint is quite ready for the PP yet. He's still too tentative with the puck, which could lead to some odd man SH rushes going the other way. I think once he gains some more confidence with the puck later this season, then maybe pop him on the 2nd pp unit to see how he does. I think both him and Marto will be great dmen in the jr/sr years...
  14. I would be fine with that with the teams on that schedule. Plus, if we can sneak a game out of CC, that could be 11-7. Let's hope they can do it.
  15. Yeah, he completely screwed up that ENG.
  16. I really like Jason Gregoire already.
  17. SHG with assist to VV.
  18. Video is up and running for me.
  19. Rage blackouts. Hilarious.
  20. I thought the Hextall/VV/Duncan line generated some good chances out there, especially considering that they were paired against UW's top line all game. I don't think Hextall looked out of place with those two at all, and he had an excellent shot hit the post right before Gregoire's GWG. Will he be on the top line all season? Probably not...heck, he probably won't be tomorrow night, but I wouldn't say that he played poorly up there.
  21. Wasn't it our Captain Duncan that took a penalty in a 3-3 tie in the Saturday MSUM game with just a few minutes left? Of course, VV bailed him out there...
  22. I think BSU is a good team from the CHA as well. They did just split with a strong SCSU team. OSU has the power of Hunter Bishop, but I was still surprised to see them hang with DU.
  23. Yeah, I really didn't want a winless Badger team coming into the Ralph. Hopefully the Sioux forwards can exploit their young defense, as they have been having difficulties keeping teams below 5 goals/game so far.
  24. BU seems to have already peaked! Nowhere to go but down for them. Makes the loss to them earlier this season a bit easier to take. UMass has been impressive as well, tying a strong UNH team.
  25. OT is only 5min.
