  1. DU 3 MSUM 1 After 2 periods. UMD 3 MTU 1 With just a few minutes left.
  2. 3-1 Sioux I think.
  3. I'll go with Gregoire...he's due for another goal.
  4. I'm convinced that soohockey15 and junior24 are the same person. Nice job agreeing with yourself 4min after your post, buddy!
  5. Simply amazing. Hopefully they don't lose tomorrow night 2-1 or something.
  6. Toews
  7. We miss "Mr. +/-" back there on the blueline...
  8. Do you think Gino would come back? Or maybe not that far...just Blais I guess.
  9. I'm sure he'll regress into a career 4th line grinder under the guidance of Coach Hakstol.
  10. Did someone pee in your cereal this year? You're like a Negative Nancy since the season began. Granted the Sioux haven't played the best hockey so far, but not everything has to be all negative.
  11. Maybe he can apply for a medical redshirt and become the first 1st round player to come back for a 5th season. Speedy recovery Joe.
  12. Congrats to Kristo! The only HS player on the USA roster.
  13. You can add Matt White to the list of Sioux recruits: http://www.areavoices.com/undhockey/?blog=37509 Since he is only a junior, that would put him at least 2 or 3 seasons away from attending UND.
  14. Great news about it being on the Sioux webcast!
  15. Go Sioux. It's about time to get that 1st sweep of the season and inch our way closer to .500. Hopefully we can get both Finley and Trupp back sooner rather than later...
  16. We do. Both Kristo and Cichy would be considered Blue Chippahs in my opinion. Gleason, MacWilliam, and Mattson aren't so bad either.
  17. Ok, if you say so. Neat. I would hope so. But you don't have to get all defensive here. Your team just came out of the weekend with three points, you should be happy. All I said is that after watching the last 4 Sioux games, that UMD and UAA play a similar style...which is just my opinion. They both clog the passing lanes, don't give up much space to the opposition while in the defensive zone (and on the PK), block a ton of shots, and in general play sound defensive hockey. I apologize if you don't agree with my opinion...you're entitled to yours.
  18. I didn't make an excuse for him at all. I said that he has performed better than what we could have expected him to in the pre-season as a freshman. How is that an excuse if he has exceeded expectations (for me, at least)? You can throw out all the goalie stats you like, but the fact of the matter is that we aren't going to beat many teams when we only score 3 goals in a series against the (former) 9th place WCHA team. At least we can look on the bright side...after 10 WCHA games played, we are only 4 points behind 2nd place.
  19. How so? They looked very similar to me after watching the last four Sioux games.
  20. Goaltending has nothing to do with it. Eidsness has played great. Definitely better than we could have expected coming from a freshman goalie thrown into the fire of WCHA games. The trouble this year has been our inability to score (Duncan, VV, Kozek, Trupp, etc) and defensive mistakes at key times. Correct those issues...and then we would be fine. You can't win many games only scoring 1 or 2 goals...
  21. Cornell is another team like UAA and UMD, big and defensive (with a better goalie). The Sioux have shown in the last four games that they have trouble with that type of team. I guess we should be hoping for a split. Although really we absolutely need a sweep for the PWR (if we are even interested in making the NCAA...although with a sub-.500 record, that won't be possible).
  22. And CC couldn't even beat UAA last night either. I think that this year it is looking like a runaway UMN win for the MacNaughton, unless they tank hard.
  23. I'm surprised gopherz isn't on here tonight talking about all the UMN "god like snipes" and "seriously killer penalty killing". That said, both DU and UMN would wipe the floor with the Sioux team that played against UAA and UMD.
  24. I think that we will see another good game from Toews...hopefully with a goal or two. He has really picked it up as of late now that he is getting back from his injury. Good to see.
