  1. A full 60?
  2. I think if anything, all the missed NCAA tourneys is enough to move on to another coach. I'll give Berry kudos on that title in his first year...he was an assistant under Hakstol the years prior to the 16 title, so you know he was involved in recruiting all those guys. I know a lot of posters say that he won with another coaches players...I won't go that far. That said...that team was talented enough that they probably still could have won with me, Wilbur, and Oxbow as the coaching staff. But the lack of success the last few years has been increasingly frustrating. A program like UND missing the NCAA tourney should happen at most once every decade during a rebuilding year or something. And then all these one-n-done's if they do make it. Even if UND manages to win both games this weekend to snag a NCAA tourney spot, I would be disappointed if this coaching staff has their contracts extended.
  3. Hobey Finalists were announced: Buium (Denver) Devine (Denver) Fink (Penn State) Gadowsky (Army) Howard (Michigan State) Leonard (Boston College) Martino (Clarkson) McLinskey (Holy Cross) Snuggerud (Minnesota) Tracy (Minnesota State)
  4. Agreed. I thought so too. Wonder if these guys got medical redshirts or something to give them an extra year of eligibility?
  5. People have been mentioning rumors about guys like Boisvert, Perron, Emery, etc once we knew the season was kind of tanking. I have no inside info on any of this, so not sure if people are just making guesses or have knowledge that specific schools have been reaching out. In this portal and NIL age, nothing would surprise me anymore. Seems that the sense of loyalty to your school goes out the window once some $ gets tossed around. That said, those three players (and other big pieces) are integral to upcoming season(s) for this program. If Berry wasn't already on the hot-seat due to how this season (and really the past few seasons) have gone, then I think that fire would really need to be lit if impact players like that start entering the portal from under his nose. It's one thing for players to leave to sign pro deals, but another to have highly drafted players leave due to money / playing time / coaching structure / etc. It's going to be an interesting off-season. I hope next fall that we see most of these guys still playing for UND, but who knows.
  6. A few more with UND ties on that list too:
  7. What are you hearing?
  8. Old article from Schloss about the timeout game. Great read with all the quotes from former players and coaches: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/ten-years-after-the-famous-timeout-game-the-players-and-coaches-tell-the-story-in-their-own-words
  9. Emery is still listed day-to-day. Hopefully he can go...
  10. Man it was fun watching those guys skate back in those days. Speed kills indeed. Guys like Panzer, Spiewak, Notermann, etc. Plus there were about 9-10 penalties that would have been called in today's game in those final five minutes.
  11. 12. Of the teams in the current top 15 of PWR...if UND doesn't go on a miracle run, I'd be rooting for Maine I think.
  13. I only received those same four decades as well...no others. Yes, they were sent out to repeat ticket holders for the Final Five. Essentially just recaps of the decades in the WCHA. Nothing earth-shattering, but cool to see some old footage.
  14. Two words. Contain. Bump. Guesses on total combined fan attendance from DU, ASU, and WMU? Maybe 500...1000? Or is even that too high.
  15. Opens March 30th and is open for 45 days. Unless there is a coaching change or scholarship money is changed.
  16. Dang! The last Hoggsbreath. Glad you’re doing it one last time.
  17. Same. I watched it a dozen times trying to figure out how it flies in the air so high/quickly. It doesn't look like Omac touches it.
  18. 6 wins left to hang #9. Gonna get tougher from here. Let's hope the boys can pull off some magic and we still have some UND games to discuss a week from now.
  19. Any of the remaining possible matchups are tough for UND. We haven't exactly had the best record against the remaining teams that they'd need to beat. That said, they have beaten every team at least once this season...so it is possible. They'll need to play better than they did this weekend to do it... CC 1-1 ASU 1-1 DU 1-3 WMU 1-3
  20. That pushes PSU to #13 in the PWR too...right on the line there if there's an upset in the tourneys at all.
  21. It's either UND is dirty or that UNO flopped at every available opportunity. Ha! I like how they commented about how there was no contact at all with TJ on their 1st goal that could have been goaltender interference.
  22. They pulled the old UMN trick...giving the home team a PP with less than 10 remaining when the home team is losing.
  23. You have to understand that they are a work in progress still.
  24. Littler really had an awesome weekend. Almost doubled his yearly goals scored in one playoff weekend! Wiebe really stood out tonight, both defensively and that pass to spring Littler was awesome. TJ...can't be said enough, he made all the saves needed to keep it a 2-goal game. Wilkie has upped his play the last couple weekends. Good timing.
