  1. Isaac Howard - 1st round - 4-9-13 Jackson Blake - 4th round - 13-23-36 Ryan McAllister - undrafted - 11-30-41 According to your logic, only Howard would be a blue chipper of those three, which I guess means that Blake and McAllister are grinders. Yet, if you were building a team for this season and were only allowed to take two of those three players...which two would you want?
  2. Blake for sure. GFHockey won't consider him a blue chipper since he isn't a 1st rounder, but Blake has blue chippah skill for sure.
  3. Next time I will use more .
  4. Alright, I'd say go ahead and ask them. I, for one, am in agreement that I wish Johnson would have gotten more of a shot here, especially since the optics appear that he was brought in rather than Morrow. That said, I would say that our track record of developing players for the NHL is unmatched by at least 95% of the colleges.
  5. Yeah I'm sure Ottawa doesn't want any more of their players coming to UND after watching Pinto and Sanderson regress in their development while here.
  6. I can see it now... Motzko is taking a prized recruit around for a tour of Mariucci. The recruits parents look around and mention in passing that the Ralph seemed to be a much nicer arena with better amenities for the players. Motzko, with his razor sharp ears, hears this comment and feels the need to confide in the parents. "You know, according to some posters on the siouxsports.com message board, there is a potential locker room issue going on at that school...I'd steer clear." The parents, who are always interested in gossip (they watch a lot of TMZ), are intrigued and take his comment to heart. No less than 20min later, the highly sought after recruit has given his verbal commitment to join the Gopher program for that fall. After the family leaves, Motzko chuckles to himself and says "thank you siouxsports.com...thank you once again."
  7. White breezers. Not a good look.
  8. They've certainly been recruited. Just haven't landed any recently, unfortunately. Cooley said it came down to UND and UMN. Eiserman was down to UND, UMN, and BU. Kent Johnson was down to UND and UM. Hopefully he can change that soon.
  9. Blake's pipe in the 3rd with just a couple minutes left would have blown the roof off the place and been a good reward for a strong weekend from him.
  10. Hopefully see some of this next season (Emerson from Perron):
  11. Agreed. As I've mentioned before, I think our offense will be even more improved next season. If they can shore up the D-corps and get a quality portal goalie, it could be a very good team. Could. Unfortunately we saw what high expectations did this year. I believe Boisvert the year with Swanson too. Take all those same forwards mentioned above (minus Gaber) developed another 1-2 years. Great core forward group for the next 1-3 seasons lined up.
  12. Geez, that's a huge difference. A win would have been nice from it.
  13. Or both stay for one more year and I’m a happy camper.
  14. Yeah I think he’s taking the Toews approach and being in college at 17.
  15. He'll be dominating at BU next season.
  16. This kid is gonna tear up NCAA hockey next season. UND will get to see him too, as we play at BU in early November.
  17. Geez...beautiful pass and then Pinto chips the puck off the bounce. Sweet goal.

  19. Well, anytime you beat a powerhouse team like that, sometimes you just can't control your emotions.
  20. These last couple weekends are gonna be crazy for seeding, things could move around a ton still. 2nd to 4th place all only separated by 3 points. 5th to 7th place all only separated by 3 points. I'm guessing math and tie-breakers will be involved. We won't play DU first round, but we could be traveling to any of those teams currently in 2-4...crossing my fingers for Omaha.
  21. Pushes us back down to 6th place, trailing UMD by 2 points and only one point ahead of CC. Next weekend UMD plays last place Miami...we need to hope that Miami can steal some points and that we get as many points as possible in Colorado.
  22. Yes, agreed. This team has shown that they are capable of playing with, and beating, any top team they've faced (except Denver). Teams that have steamrolled their competition this season like QU and MN (current #1 & #2 in PWR)...UND has beaten both (yeah, yeah..QU in shootout, whatever). Unfortunately, their huge lapses of bad games and bad losses means that even if they put together a run, it's going to be a very difficult path. -NCHC playoffs...they'll be on the road. You know it'll go 3 games. Hopefully UND can prevail. -IF they do...they'll get DU for the 1st game of the NCHC tourney with their season on the line. They'd have to get that elusive first win over them and still try to beat SCSU/WMU the next game to make it to the NCAA tourney. -IF they do that, their reward will be playing in Fargo with a home crowd...with their opponent very likely being top ranked UMN. Ouch ouch ouch.
  23. Rizzo with 2 more goals for DU tonight. Kid is a beast...would have looked absolutely glorious in green & white.
