Hopefully it won't come to that this weekend. Crazy stat that UND was on a 12-game unbeaten streak in 3x3 prior to the DU loss (they were 6-0-6 in those 12 games). All four players that sat out against USA are practicing and expected to play against Alaska. The forward lines have been shuffled to attempt to generate more 5x5 offense.

UMN beats the U18 team, 3-2 tonight. But the Goofers got outshot 42-23 in the process. Eiserman scored against his former committed team.

UND has some items to work on this week. Alaska will be hungry, as they need a good showing in order to improve their chances at making the NCAA's with an at-large bid. UND needs to erase the OT demons of the past few games.

We'll see how it goes next weekend. They need to break out of this little funk. I'm willing to overlook tonight's "loss" a bit...there was bound to be some rust after all that time off, they were playing without 3-4 of their normal starters (including the goalie that's played every minute of every game thus far), and it was an exhibition. And it's not like they didn't generate a ton of offensive chances. I'm sure the xG will back that up.

Hopefully this doesn't continue against Alaska next weekend. 1-2 of those post shots go in and this weekend feels a lot better.

Well...our record and PWR would indicate otherwise. Time to buckle down and take care of business against Alaska next weekend. Last chance to get some OOC improvement. And..no 3x3 next weekend, please.

Hedquist played pretty darn well for getting his first playing time since the first exhibition game. Some good stops for sure. The USA goalie got more of a workout and played very well too. Helps for him that UND hit 4 posts.
