  1. Very true....but they did pretty well without him. Not amazing, but still very good. If the chemistry was there with Bozak all year long, DU would have come out of that regional.
  2. I don't know what Rhett you've watched, but I've been pretty impressed with his playmaking abilities. Sometimes it comes in spurts, but you can't make a play every time down the ice or your team will never lose. He's done some pretty impressive stuff, IMO.
  3. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Joe's family that purchased the jersey. They like to pick up a lot of his personal jerseys.
  4. Watched Top Gun tonight, and couldn't stop thinking that Ice Man wasn't Zach Parise

AZSioux's stuff isn't counterfeit because there is no official product available that he makes on the market, and hasn't been for many many years. They aren't authentic, but not counterfeit either. There is no copyright within the jerseys themselves that he makes. He isn't branding his stuff CCM, Nike, Reebok, etc, illegally when he's not that entity, like the maker of the jersey posted as well. I knew that question would come up, but it's not even remotely the same. I haven't seen any other fake/counterfeit products posted on the site, until now, thankfully. But, if I did, I'd call it out just like this. It's surprising that people actually are supporting the counterfeit products.

He posted pictures, and a link, and the seller.......whatever. Y'all can buy your fake jerseys. I'll save my money and buy real ones.

If you posted a picture and said "Hey, check out this jersey I got" it's one thing. But to include the seller and ebay link, I consider that advertising. It doesn't matter if you benefit from it or not. I understand that jerseys are expensive. But, they are expensive, and that's the jersey market. It doesn't make buying a fake jersey better. Jerseys are priced that way so not everyone has 'em. It might be an elitest way of looking at things, but that's the way life is. Also, I don't think that counterfeit problems are the reason the economy is bad, but it sure doesn't help. If it's been calculated that 750,000 jobs are lost because of counterfeit products, and billions of dollars lost (all going to people scamming honest people), I don't agree with it. There isn't a way to justify it. I used to collect a particular product in which fakes were a big problem. There were actually links to terrorist groups in which the money went. This is an extreme case, but the problem is real.

yeah, the middle east is filled with 3rd world countries that don't have economies to rely on for jobs and a normal source of income (minus countries like the UAE, but they are few and far between). Whether or not it happens, it's still an illegal practice, and supporting that practice isn't right IMO.

He's advertising and promoting a jersey that is an illegal counterfeit (an inaccurate one at that). If he wants to buy the jersey and wear it, fine. I don't condone it, but if he wants to do that's fine. These jerseys (among the many other counterfeit products out there) are problems for the economy and sometimes can easily fool an uneducated person that may think they are authentic. The problem I have with it is advertising it on this website primarily because it's illegal for the product to be sold. If he wasn't advertising it, he wouldn't have put it on this website, with the sellers name, and a link to the auction (where the seller has many other counterfeit jerseys listed as well).

Right, but I don't think it's right to advertise something that isn't even legal on the website.

Yeah, there are a few things just from a quick glance that you can tell are off: -Number font is wrong -Name is off-center with the numbers -Should C-patch is not accurate -Jersey was never produced by RBK -Materials and striping look a bit off as well Then, throw in the fact it's only $39 and from Asia, and it's not even a question really. I'd recommend taking it down. Last night, I actually was watching something on like MSNBC or CNN on how counterfeit products affect our economy to the tune of about 750,000 jobs and billions of dollars lost. Hence, the reason I think the jersey should be taken down from the site.

Not to burst your bubble, but that jersey is more fake than Michael Jackson's nose.
  15. So, you're just a tough love type of guy, eh?
  16. There, I deleted the evidence..
  17. Using myself as an example, I will respectfully disagree. Growing up in Wisconsin, I heard of the Sioux (the Native Americans, not the school nickname), but that's about all I knew about them. I would bet that that is the case for virtually everywhere else that doesn't live in the northern plains. After coming here, I learned a fair bit about the tribes and some of the unique history and culture they present. If we were never the Sioux nickname, I'm not sure I could say the same, since our nickname is the reason I'm somewhat educated about them.
  18. Aren't the Native American programs at UND state or federal required? Or is it just the free tuition, free books, free everything? I'm pretty sure UND has no control over one or both of those, but I could be wrong. So if I'm correct, there's not much UND could do in the way of cutting programs or scholarships.
  19. Does this mean there is hope?

But, over the course of a winter, there are far fewer of the drastically below freezing days than the slightly warmer ones.
  21. Yeah, that was pretty thick sarcasm....not gonna lie Thanks for the complement. I actually made each of those jerseys myself, then just put them in a gif. I made all the jerseys in my sig as well.
  22. Right, I agree. I love my 1997 truck I drive as well. I would never trade it for a 2009. It's just a big scam.
  23. Let's not forget the audio aspect of HDTV as well. HD has better audio and will actually broadcast in 5.1 surround sound. SD won't give you this. If you don't have a home theatre system you won't notice a difference in that regard, but the capability is there nonetheless. On another visual aspect, HD gives you a wider view as well, allowing you to see more of what you are watching. I don't even care what DaveK thinks, this is just more of a reference for those that may be currently interested in upgrading their TV experience. There really is no comparison. And to be honest, giant SD tv's blow. I'd rather watch TV on a 30 inch SDTV than a 48 inch SDTV.
