Goaltending is the most important position in hockey and the Sioux have major issues there. As much as I admire Walski for sticking with his hockey career he is not a #1 goalie. Eidsness obviously is unproven but hopefully he can run with it ala Bachmann, Kangas and Muse from last season. Mankato will be buzzing for next weekends series and the Sioux had better be ready. I really expected a win today and losing to UMass after being embarrassed by BU is alarming.

What a fuc*ing joke...how in the hell do you lose to Umass. It is going to be a long year...mark my words. Duncan is worthless without Oshie.

Pretty pathetic effort...although it is not time to panic. I just have real worries about the goaltending this year. On the subject of Finley maybe there is a reason the Caps did not care to sign him in the offseason. He was horrible against BC and sucked again tonight.

So is Walski our starting netminder next weekend?? Nothing against Aaron but I do not see the Sioux getting to the promised land with him in net. Not that Eidsness is ready either but the Sioux have goaltending issues.

Perhaps ths Osh will be sent to Peoria to room with Porter?? I could see that happening for sure.

Goaltending will be the key to this season...no question about it. You can Blood all you want but Eidsness is the most important player on the team his year.

Should be an interestin year. As we have seen in the past the McNaughton Cup winner rarely wins the National Championship. Hopefully the Sioux can get in the top three and finish the job this year. Goaltending is the big concern.

No surprise there...As far as Bochenski he just cannot quite make it. Not enough of a well rounded game to be an NHL regular.

My money is on Genoway....Thank goodness Gerbe is out of his head.

From what i understand Eidsness has been in GF all summer preparing for the season...and as others have said if Walski was ready for the top job why did he start one game last year? Obviously the coaches did not have enough trust in him last year based on his play in practice to start more than one game.

No doubt goaltending is the number one question for this season. As the goaltending goes so will go the season. The Sioux forwards can match up with any team in the WCHA. The D is solid but Marto and LaPoint need to take a couple more steps froward....especially LaPoint. Goaltending is the most important position in hockey....but look at Muse last year for BC, he was a frosh and got it done. Not to mention Kangas and Bachmann. In summary.... in Eidness we trust!!

I can't see Frattin on the top line....especially not to start the season. He has done nothing to warrant that. Gregoire will be higher than a third line player.

I must say I am quite impressed with Petrecki from BC...He was a monster on the blue line against the Sioux.

Well as in years before if the Sioux are in it there will be PLENTY of opportunities to buy seats right outside the arena....Not a problem at all....been there done that

Not I....the budget does not allow for it but I sure would like to....I plan to go to the Great Lakes Invitational though at Joe Louis Arena.....that should be fun
