Um...I have been to Alaska and went to school at UND and have travelled throughout the state of ND. Scenery wise Alaska is the most scenic state in the nation. For those who have never been it is incredible for those who enjoy the outdoors. No offense to the locals but North Dakota does not have much to offer tourists. So in that sense there is no comparison at all.

Sioux desperately need a sweep....as I said i do not expect one as the Sioux do not seem to be able to finish the deal against anyone. Even if it is the sister's of the poor...I say 3 points for the Sioux. Alaska will get a point Sat night.

I hope I am wrong but that is the way I see it to this point. A sweep of Anchorage?? I hope so but would not bet on it. I will be in the stands both nights cheering on the Sioux. We just seem to have a really hard time getting four points from anyone the last couple of years. Let's hope we see a stick salute next Sat. night.

I do understand what he brings to the team and he is a great member of the Sioux family. However, he is not an elite player. He is a good college hockey player, not an elite player. He needs elite linemates to make it happen, he does not have the skills to score on his own.

Yeah I may just be frustrated but some of the forwards need to step up as Hak said before the season ala Frattin, Malone etc and to this point it has not happened. Rant all you want but I do not see this team finishing better than .500 in the WCHA.

I don't know that I can call Duncan an elite player. He is a good player but not an elite player. He can really snipe it but without Toews and Oshie he does not have the time and space to do that like he did the year he won the Hobey.

This is a very average Sioux team. Nothing against Eidness but he cannot steal a game for you. The D is average and the forwards lack an elite player. .500 in the WCHA is my prediction.

Yeah a plus 2 at D...He is useless as a forward. He is a good skater but at forward he does not have the scoring touch to be a top two line player. Not to mention on the forecheck as a forward he gets knocked off the puck way too easily.

I agree with Miller at D...he is pretty useless as a forward so put him at D

How is Hextall on the top line?? Where is Toews? Our D has a lot of work to do.

Finley comes back and Finehage sits....however he is right out of high school. IMO I expected more out of LaPoint . He looks the same as he did last year...soft and tentative.

Was Toews still injured or a healthy scratch?? Please advise...I do not like hextall on the top line. Nothing against Duncan but he does not look like a hobey winner out there....like they say you are only as good as your teammates or in this case your linemates.

Toews is off to a tough start....I never would have predicted this start for the Wild.

I am not going there but this team has no goaltending...Walski is NOT a starting gaoalie in the WCHA and Eidsness is raw as can be. We lose tomorrow and we will be 0-6 to start the season. Even the best Sioux teams have struggled at CC.
