You answered my question! Everything was fine for the Manitoba game. I assume things have changed in the last week? I wonder if this will be an ongoing problem or will the appropriate parties adjust? I hope so!

I'm in the same boat. Listening to TH on the radio but I have the TV on in case the video feed comes back. Where's the problem? With Midco or our local provider? Pain in the rear!

My brother has a cabin near Lee Davidson (former Sioux player, former UMD assistant). Davidson shared a story with him about an end of the season coaches meeting in Florida (I think). Gwoz often wouldn't participate in the golfing events, etc. Apparently he came across as pretty arrogrant (imagine that). Anyway, one night he was in a bar and was lipping off about something and one of the other coaches dumped a pitcher of beer on his head. If he was such a saint of a guy, odds are good he wouldn't draw that kind of reaction.

Sorry, if this has been mentioned before, but has anyone else recently looked at the Hobey fan voting results? If not check out http://www.hobeybaker.com/voting/. Notice that there are nearly 23 million votes cast and nearly 21 million of them are for Teslak from Michigan Tech and over 1 million for Ryan Jones from Miami. Yow! Obviously some motivated MT & Miami fans have found a way to hammer the system with fake votes. Since fan voting counts for something like 1% of the vote, it seems like this could skew the results if voting is close. Can the selection committee (or whatever group looks at this) somehow discard the obvious fake votes? Do they throw out all votes for those two? Or does it just stand the way it is, obviously a system that's been tampered with?

I have to say that I really liked Lotysz. I recall listening to him and TH after the Sioux were crushed by Denver during the Saturday night game back in December '05. The end of the game was a real free-for-all. Sioux players were frustrated by the loss and trying to pick fights. Of course Gwoz held Paukovich out of the end of the game and Lotysz saying that he wished they'd put Pauk in because "I hate that kid." Echoed the sentiments of all the Sioux faithful.

Speaking of Dubay, did you see the guy in the Sioux jersey heckling him during the Dubay/Marnie comments after Saturday's game? I thought I heard the guy call Dubay a "numb-nut". That was one obnoxious & loud fan. Perfect guy to razz Dubay. Sorry, off-topic... Will be interesting to find out the real reason for the Trotter departure. It seems pretty clear that Gwoz holds no hard feelings which seems to indicate that it wasn't really Trotter's decision.

Maybe it's been discussed earlier in this thread, but does anyone know Teslak's status for this weekend? I didn't realize that he'd missed 5 games until I read it in the Herald this morning.

What's up with Radja being suspended indefinitely (according to the Herald article)? Does that mean the NH coach is a real hard-a$$ (or at least more than Hak) or does it mean that Radja did something more serious?

Thanks, PCM! You must have carpal tunnel syndrome after typing all that in. Nice to get Cary Eades' perspective this week. Looking forward to (hoping for!) a dominant second half. As dissatisfied as we all feel right now at least we're in better shape than we were at this time last year!

Didn't Wooger guarantee a Gopher victory? Something like that was the only guaranteed game in the tourney. We (my wife, brother-in-law, & buddies) ran into Wooger in between periods of the Sioux/Michigan game right after the Holy Cross win. We were all decked out in Sioux gear (including green wigs) but he gave us a smile as we put our arms around him for a picture. Dang, wish I could find that picture. Wasn't on my camera.

Hey, I agree with you, tnt, but I do have to argue this point. They did win the Broadmoor Cup as freshman in '06. I'm sure, if given the choice, we all would have preferred the MacNaughton Cup (and not being called NDSU on the Red Baron posters ) but at least we got something concrete!
