  1. I should also note that I've heard that the WR spot is completely up for grabs (I know Bubba mentioned every spot is, but this one is very high on my list right after OL), and it's entirely possible that one of our True Freshmen could be the number 1 guy by the end of fall camp based on what I've heard.
  2. I've heard that Reyes is likely a shoe-in to start, as he is just as good if not better than Kuksa was last year. Really wish we had a Kuksa/Reyes safety combo for the next three years..... Also, SFI seems to think that Hinojosa will start out at NT. I think as the year goes on he will be moved to DE if that does happen, as I like our line with him at DE (and hopefully Cummings actually plays with a bit of a mean streak this year).
  3. He did tweet he is a member of the UND family, so assuming everything goes through he should be in.
  4. Bryan Carlton also committed to NDSU.
  5. Sam Steckman has verballed to SDSU.
  6. Jack Darnell commited to NDSU and Adam Buirge commited to Northern Illinois.
  7. He's going to be a walk-on based on what the SFI guys said. I know that the staff was trying hard to get an FBS O-line for the last scholarship but with time before camp running out not sure if anything will come of it.
  8. You are correct - appears Bryan is his father.
  9. When he announced offer on Twitter he said "my grandparents will love this"........ Not sure if Bryan would be old enough to be a grandparent to the kid but maybe an uncle......
  10. UND has offered Jake Smeltzer, WR out of Cali. Multiple offers. Has connections to UND through family I believe. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1751670/jake-smeltzer UND also offered Mason Bennett, DE out of Canada. Has an offer from NDSU.
  11. UND with a couple offers in Wisonsin. First to safety Jaxon Brown out of Eau Claire Regis, second to TE/DE Cole Karcz out of Germantown. Brown has offers from NDSU, SDSU and Fordham while Karcz has offers from NDSU and USD.
  12. New offer out to Gavin Block, SG/SF from Lincoln, Illinois.
  13. UND also offered Bryan Carlton, DE out of Minnetonka.
  14. UND offered Jack Darnell, DL out of Champlin Park.
  15. 2015-2016 offer is from Colorado, so there is some activity going on there.
  16. UND has offered Frank Ryder. Lists himself as a 6'10" Center on his twitter.
  17. UND has also offered Nick Pallas from San Juan Capistrano (Juniper Serra HS), CA. Multiple offers. http://verbalcommits.com/players/nick-pallas
  18. CAS - as a lawyer you should know the difference between fact and opinion.......
  19. With the roster now online, I thought I'd take a stab at the 2-deep. With this pass, I'm assuming all freshmen will redshirt (although I'd assume that won't happen). Offense: LT: Devin Barton - AJ Stockwell LG: Brandon Anderson - Brandon Miller C: Colton Boas - Jace Hellman RG: Sean Meehan - Dan Bell RT: Brendan Slaight - AJ Stockwell TE: Zach Adler - Tucker Norby RB: Cedric Simmons - Patrick Sharp FB: Dustin Iverson - Dwayne Pecosky WR: RJ McGill - Aeron Carr - Ramon Bridges WR: Casey Young - Miguel Cerriteno - Tyrhe Ivery QB: Joe Mollberg/Ryan Bartles (toss up) K: Reid Taubenheim - Mitch Meindel (to keep RS on Fluegge) Defense: DE: Spencer Cummings - Alec Carrothers NG: Shea Walker - Marcus Cheatom DE: Jordan Hinojosa - Kyle Woodsmall OLB: Dayo Idowu - Alex Hickel ILB: Ben Peters - Kyle Norberg ILB: Will Ratelle - Dylan Bakker OLB: Javen Butler - Brian Labatt CB: Alex Tillman - Charles Flowers S: Baylee Carr - Chris Hannible S: Cole Reyes - Devin Coyle CB: Dominique Blackmon - Chris Brown P: Mitch Meindel - Connor Bolduc (although might be Peters or Taubenheim if they want to keep redshirt on Bolduc)
  20. I'm smelling a rebirth of the Fire Jones thread...... In seriousness, while I wish there were at least 3 or so non-conf D1 home games, it is what it is. As noted, there's not much money available to get better teams in, and I'm expecting that some of the away games will garner a return trip in the future. As for the non-D1 games, I believe that you can play 2 and they won't count against your RPI or something to that affect, and most mid-major teams do this.
  21. All depends on how the team comes together. So many new faces and unknowns. If everything comes together we could surprise some people. If not, 1-6 is entirely possible.
  22. Also, I know it's been discussed before, but I'm wondering which freshmen have the potential to have their shirts pulled. Fully expecting Taubenheim to be one. Wonder if Tank Harris or Drew Greeley or even Ceislak would be possibilities on the DL. Not sure if any linebackers are ready, but Chris Carter at DB seems like a possibility as well. On the offensive side, thinking that Jake Francis has a shot on the OL, although that is one position that I'd love to be able to redshirt the guys so they can get stronger before being thrown in. I think that maybe Dev Ferguson at WR would be another potential, although with McGill, Ivery, Carr, Cerriteno, Bridges (who I think has some promise), and Casey Young we may be okay there, unless of course Ferguson (or even Brandon Walker) perform better than them and earn some playing time.
  23. I'm expecting big things from Ratelle this year. I think Idowu will have a good year as well. Wild cards are Bakker (who after doing some research I've heard/seen some positive things), Butler and Norberg. I think that Rich, Labatt, Hickel and Reineke could be solid contributors for a down here and there, but the I'm hoping that the three wild cards I've mentioned can really make some things happen this year. On the DL, Walker should be a pretty good force. I think Cummings has the size, now he just needs that mean streak. Not sure what to expect from Hinojosa, to be honest, although I think a line of Cummings, Walker and Hinojosa could be good. Rotate in Cheatom and Carrothers and it may have the potential to be a solid (but not spectacular) line this year.
  24. I also think that Alex Tillman will be a leader on the defense, although he is new so you don't really know about his personality (although I'm not sure they would have taken him if he didn't at least have some leadership characteristics). Seems to have a little bit of that veteran presence. On offense, I'm thinking that RJ McGill will definitely be a leader, as well as Brandon Anderson. Would love one of the QB's to snatch the job and really grow into the leadership role as well.
  25. So the only non conf home games are Dickinson, mayville and Omaha?
