He started his career as a RB but was switched to CB last year. My understanding is that he would come in as a CB.
-
I believe Sills was in town on Thursday, so I'm glad the staff was able to secure him. Now to get the Big 10 kid to commit.......
-
Hartley - no clue. Hilton - didn't know that until now. Webb - heard a while back he didn't have the credits and will likely be going JUCO (if he chooses to pursue football). Probably a good bet as to why they are pursuing a CB hard, but they also need some more depth as both Webb and Hilton were likely to redshirt.
-
I didn't notice that. He's not listed on the losses. Also, the UofMinn LB Jephete Matilus is not on there either. Wonder what the deal is there?
-
I saw that too, but they still had a couple injured guys on the two deep. I would think if healthy Stockwell will be starting at LT.
-
So other than Iwarri Smith being listed as a RB (which I expected) and Mason Bennett listed as DL instead of OLB, it appears that Jake Francis has left the team? Anyone else notice anything? EDIT - off course then I see that he (Francis) switched numbers and is listed as a TE.
-
Nothing I've heard, but the offer was recent and I'm assuming he may not have visited or anything. However, there are two FBS CBs on the radar.
-
A couple potential FBS transfers should be visiting soon. One CB and the other who started as a RB but moved to CB last year. We shall see what happens. Edit: and by started at RB I mean his career began as a RB and was moved moved to CB. Just to be clear.
-
Was also just recently offered by South Alabama.
-
UND has offered JUCO CB Tyquwan Glass. Has offers from Montana State, Portland State and Alabama State. I believe he will have three years as I think he was a redshirt freshman this past year.
-
I'm guessing that the staff is still hoping to hit a home run with a RB transfer. I've heard they are actually confident in Santiago, Iwarri Smith and Oliveira being able to log reps as RBs this year so they're trying not to just bring in someone for the sake of bringing in someone. There are one or two CB transfers that are/were being looked at, but I don't know the status of those and haven't heard much in the past week or two.

Offer out to Michael Griffin, DB OUT OF Minnesota.

University of Northern Iowa. NIU is Northern Illinois. Pretty sure its Northern Iowa that we're playing. Are you seeing something else?
-
There's a couple kids on our interest list that I'm hoping UND takes a harder look at. I'm just going by memory so I'm guessing I missed a couple that I really liked initially and probably have a couple on the list that don't belong there - Note that some of these are more local/projects but could take a flyer on. There were a couple others last night other than Canady, but I can't access twitter from work (and I'm not a smartphone guy) and I can't remember them for the life of me. Someone can check my twitter feed and get the names and post them if they have time
-
Since he has no hudl linked and I didn't have time to search for more linkage, I'm guessing he is. But not sure.
-
Also offers out to Jacob Bacon and Lloyd Turner.
-
Does KG respond to emails from the common folk regarding this issue (never sent one but assume that maybe someone has)? If someone emailed him and asked him if he knew for sure the no nickname was okay, would he respond?
-
I will say with North Stars, the main reason I don't like it is I don't think it sounds very good since you have the word "North" twice. Just doesn't roll off the tongue right. I also think that the name has too much of a hockey connotation for me because of the former NHL team - just gives the impression that the name as picked moreso for hockey.
-
Personally, I would say "Well, that sucks" and then get on with life and follow UND sports the same as I do now.
-
Sadly, as the lists were being narrowed down I was at the point where I thought Wooly Mammoth was kinda cool/unique.
-
Gueths has commited to Northern Illinois.
-
Sounds like Parks may be staying at UofM. So, back to square one with a really thin RB core.
-
I guess Roughriders is the only one that makes sense to me. I've pretty much went from anti-Roughriders to that being the choice I'm firmly behind.
