Two man advantage for 43 seconds, great opportunity here to get one. Let's go Sioux!!1

I think this is the most confident I have seen Brandt play with since the very beginning of the year. Another Penalty Kill for the Sioux, God Job Guys, keep it up!!!

Thoughts on period One. Sioux came out with some desperation, more than they have had an any game I have watched this second half of the year. Notermann and Spiewak especially, doing a great job on the PK. Brandt has made some nice saves, and has looked confident in making them to me. I am not usually one to complain about the refs, because it never really does any good to do it sitting in my home...but...Shepherd needs to get his head out of his a**. What a joke this guy is. I really never view a game as won or lost by calls by the ref, and never will...but...how many times are they going to get away with tackling, holding etc., and not get called for it, meanwhile, the Sioux are trying to fight through that crap and seem to get called for darn near everything they do. In my humble opinion, and most times that isn't worth much, Shepherd should never ref another game in his life. That being said, the Sioux are playing a lot better tonight and the crowd seems to be into the game, so those are positives. If the Sioux give this effort for the remaining 40 minutes, we will be seeing another game tomorrow night no matter how much Denver "plays their game." Go Sioux!!!!!

A key point brought up by forecheck, ONE of the big problems in net for the Sioux this year in my opinion, has been rebounds, so that puts added pressure on the D to keep the front of the net clear and to get physical down low and put some people on their arses. I think scoring early will be a key also, it will keep that confidence going and get the place rocking right away. Plus, against the great goalies that Denver has, getting on top of them early is key. I think we need to convince Spiewak he is playing against Ryan Miller again And, for the obvious, obvious point...STAY OUT THE BOX!!! Wish I was there this weekend, but I will be in spirit. Hope the Ralph is rocking and loud. GO SIOUX!!!!

DeFauw just nets his first NHL goal. Woo Hoo!

Watching the Carolina game right now, and I notice that Brad DeFauw has also been brought up. Carolina starting to have a Fighting Sioux flavor to them.

Great game by the Sioux last night confidence wise. The pucks started going in the net for them, and I thought Brandt played well when he came in. I also don't think Marc played a terrible game, first goal was a tough one for him, and as some have posted, it did look to deflect off a Sioux player in front. The second goal, he could have stayed up on, but again, when your D gives it away right in the slot, that is a tough one. I really liked how the Sioux controlled the play and kept the puck in the zone for long periods of time. We had 3 pretty solid lines doing it most of the game. I really like the Spiewak line, they had a great game. I also like Notermann on the line with Parise and Bochenski, he works really hard out there and makes a lot of plays happen for those two to finish off. I also though Jason had a super night on the PK, I want to say he outchanced the Wisconsin PP on his own. A few lapses last night for the Sioux that shouldn't have happened, but overall they played another solid game and finally got the W. I may be weird here, but I actually kind of liked the Wisconsin announcers. They are a bit on the odd side, but kind of funny. I also thought it was cool how they talked about the tradition at UND and how programs could use UND as a model program. Yeah, a bit homerish on some things, but not obnoxiously homeristic. Finally, I think it is really cool how the guys have continued to work hard during this bad stretch of games. It shows the character and pride these guys have. They have not given up and that says a lot about them as individuals and it also says a lot about the coaching staff UND has in place. Great job guys, keep working hard and lets get on a roll win tonight and get Mr. Momentum on our side heading into the playoffs.

Sorry about that, my bad. I was desperately trying to remember who scored

Sioux Goals Spiewak with 2 Lundbohm McMahon Parise Schneider Man, I am so excited about winning, I am not even sure if I got this right. Hopefully.

Sweet 5-2 win over Wisconsin. Sioux played a great game tonight to get a much needed Win. Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!

Bayda has the lone goal tonight in a 1-0 Carolina win over Minnesota. His third of the year. He is definitely making the most of his shot right now.

To me, these 3...Chris, Jason and Kevin...exemplify the spirit of the Fighting Sioux. They all 3 work hard and give everything they have on the ice. Their contributions will be missed next year, but I am looking forward to a few more weekends of them on the ice. On a lighter note, I would have to say Spiewak is one the cooler names to don the Sioux jersey, it just has the cool ring to it when you scream it at the top of your lungs after a huge goal Thanks guys for your hard work and dedication to the Sioux program and I wish you the best of luck the rest of the season and throughout life.

Thank you very much for the update, I truly appreciate them. I pray that David Hale gets better and the docs can figure out his situation. He seems like a great guy and obviously a great leader. The Hale brothers are indeed in my prayers as I am sure they are in most Sioux fans. Get better soon David. Let's got to Wisconsin and get 4 points and bring the first round back to the REA and get this thing rolling. Keep playing hard guys and the luck has to change somewhere. Go Sioux!!

Forecheck and PCM, I thank you both very much for your work on getting the updates out over the season, I live in the western part of ND and can't get the show, so this is my only source for it. Thank You

Clayton, I so remember that chant, most annoying thing I have ever heard

My point on the first goal was, if he would have stayed somewhere near the crease and not been running around with his back turned to the play at points, he would have been in better position. I also stated afterwards, that Josh cannot bear the entire brunt of the loss. I don't think it is too far fetched to be saying Josh is not a great positional goalie who is out of place sometimes and as such, gives up goals he maybe shouldn't.
