  1. I thought about that, too. The other scenario I can see is someone sketching out the framework of the poster and writing "North Dakota" under the Sioux team picture. The rough design went to the printer where it's noticed that the full name of the the university isn't used. Someone (probably a non-college hockey fan) who assumes the school is North Dakota State University takes it upon himself or herself to add the "correct" full name. Because of a time crunch, the poster is never proofed by anyone from the WCHA before it's distributed.
  2. I know that the posters were being handed out Saturday when I entered the X at 6:30 p.m. and they were still being distributed when I left around 10:30 p.m. I don't know that anyone needs to lose their job or be tarred and feathered over this, but the WCHA does owe UND an explanation and an apology.
  3. Don't you read INCH? Cold was invented in Grand Forks.
  4. I'm sure that just before game time, Red will be firing up his players with a moving speech that ends with the sentence, "Let's go out there and win this one for Josh!"
  5. By popular demand, here are some photos from the SiouxSports.com Saturday morning breakfast at Hoggsbreath. Left to right: YaneA, NorthDakotaHockey and Noel. MafiaMan disrobes to show his famous Fighting Sioux tattoo. Runninwiththedogs and PCM make peace. Right to left: Runninwiththedogs, UMDDogz, forecheck and MafiaMan's friends. 6. Since he's making FedEx commercials now, he's probably not NCAA eligible.
  7. What does that have to do with this topic?
  8. I'll go with momentum every time. Jeez, it wasn't long ago that some were saying that the Sioux would have been better off finishing fifth in the WCHA. How silly does that sound now?
  9. The sad part is that he didn't even wait for the camera.
  10. I told my buddy that if the camera pointed at me and I did the jersey pop, he had permission to punch me in the face.
  11. Two of four. Lamoureux played the two games at Minnesota because Parise was injured. Phil was in the nets when UND won the second game 4-2.

YaneA, were you responsible for the poster I saw that said something like "Skate hard, little donut"? I had to think about that a bit before I realized that it referred to Ryan "Dunkin' Donut." It's a good thing the sign was green and white or might never have figured it out.
  13. Add my thanks to MafiaMan for arranging the pre-game meal on Saturday. It was great to meet up with some SiouxSports.com posters I already knew and some I hadn't met before. Mafia's keynote speech was a classic! It was a "you had to be there" moment.
  14. Will you come back if I promise to give you the 2004-2005 Canisius Golden Griffins media guide?
  15. Hakstol said on the radio this morning that Stafford is still "day to day."
  16. Or maybe it's because they're good friends.
  17. Sure does. Thanks. I hope to see everyone there.
  18. For the geographically impaired among us, where would the proposed Sioux fan meeting site be in relation to this seating chart?
  19. The title of the thread is "Women's BB." Please try to follow along.
  20. No, I just lent Mark Pohlman my chainsaw.
  21. Well, I've met you, so I know it's not the "Who's the fairest of them all?" routine.
  22. So we're saying that this is the designated Sioux fan meeting spot? Sounds good to me.
  23. I'll try to get them done sooner if I can, but I can't promise anything.
  24. We're off to a good start!
