i agree that the goofs got the best matchup they could ask for. they are not a good team, but have had scsu's number this season. i see this going to three games... and i'm leaning towards the goofs pulling it out in the end, but it would be great if they weren't at the final 5 or their own regional

wow az, that is some dedication starting a thread at 3 am im not sure how many years it has been since i have been up that late on a weeknight, but kudos to you so with the spirit of azsioux's dedication, sioux win 5-3 tonight. hextall, vandy, marto, duncs, zajac (we never lose when zajac scores ), then tie tomorrow night 3-3 with kozek, watty and jones getting the game tying goal with under a minute.

don't bother getting into this discussion with davek. we all know his views on fighting, and he is entitled to them right or wrong, but he is hopelessly unobjective on the subject, and wants people to respond to him, so i say lets not. every time it happens, it ends up being people taking digs at each other, which is not what this board is for. we have visual evidence with the video here, and i think most of us took the same thing from it, so lets leave it at that. it was a pretty good scrap though. commie got the last word in, but greener held his own.

cut and dry... he should win it, but i think his chances are slim. brad makes excellent points about duncs, all valid, and of course all of us sioux fans know how great he is, but like oxbow said, it is a numbers game for the most part, and stoa and lasch have him there. now because they are on teams lower down on the wcha totem pole, maybe that helps duncs? it would be another deserved notch in #16's sioux helmet, but the great thing about duncs, what makes him such a great teammate and leader, is he couldn't care less about that individual award, he is a team first guy. let's hope that duncs keeps leading this team to victories on the way to #8!! GO SIOUX!!

in response to the both of you, like i said, it comes with the territory. i don't like odd man rushes either, but that is why joe and chay are d partners. joe knows chay will rush the puck a few times a game, and an odd man rush may happen, he knows his role. also, chay's winger should be dropping back to help out when he does make a rush. im not trying to disagree with everything you say, but i feel that chay's positives VASTLY outweigh his shortcomings. this team isn't even close to the same team when he is not on the ice.

its not breaking news that joe and chay are completely different dmen out there, they each have their role. joe has become a defensive force and makes some pretty nice outlet passes. but don't underestimate what a puck moving dman like chay means to any team. a guy who can take it and skate the puck the length of the ice and run our pp. believe me, it can change the way a team gameplans us, it can break down that dreaded trap we all hate so much. chay may turn the puck over once in a while, but that comes with the type of player he is, and i wouldn't trade him for another college dman.
