Face it, every team has goons, it would not be hockey otherwise. Do you want to watch a bunch of little girl hockey without the occasional "bad" hit? I have yet to see ANY team not have a player or two that makes/takes "stupid" penalties during the course of the year. Not condoning stupid/dangerous hits, but it happens, ask anyone who has played. the TUCs took a few odd turns last night also....unfortunatly for the Gophs we actaully need UW to win and not let UAA win to help out our TUC. And from what I can tell you guys DO need to win every game, otherwise, a few other teams winning and/or losing will help or hurt you easily if you don't. Some odd goings on with Providence also out east. WPoS

ok, maybe I am wrong here, but I was told there was an NCAA rule about playing the final games in a home arena is a no-go. I have followed that "rule", if I am wrong please let me know so I don't continue spreading the wrong info. WPoS

JJ is playing pretty good right now, granted he has yet to see some "real" teams, but Tech was a good showing (Tech IS better than their record). JJ starts tonight and prolly tomorrow too. Briggs MAY be dropped in if there is a meltdown, but otherwise he may start next weekend. I hope they give KB soem icetime before they feed him to the regionals! I never really was a JJ fan, but he does seem to play good in clinch situations, so maybe we ride him for a while...but with our see-saw results lately, tending WILL the Gophs downfall this year. as good will gesture to the SS.com peeps (most of which whom are the cream of UND fandom) feel free to stop by the tailgate next weekend for the Final Five if you come down. Last year we had a few UND fans gating with us and it was fun. We are across 7th from Tom Reid's in the little parking lot. Just no pissing in the corners or leaving garbage is all. WPoS

well this "true GOPHER" fan wouldn't care WHEN they played, niether would my friends, we'd be there no matter when they played. Your argument holds about as much water as the Sahara. Just face it, the games CANNOT be played at the Ralph, no matter how much you try and want it to happen. WPoS

and when we've lost the Friday night game we have to play with less rest on the Sat afternoon game.... And all the bi-oching about moving it around, the X has NOTHING to do with the Gophers, it has to do with teh most central location, playing in a NON school affiliated arena and the WCHA making money. Contrary to popular belief, it is NOT a vast Gopher conspiriacy. And last time I checked not many Gopher fans feel "entitled" to a NCAA title anymore than a bunch of UND fans I know of every fall!
