The finer details of Zach's contract are out. "It's tough to say [buffalo's] Thomas Vanek got $50 million, so where's my $50 million?" Parise said. "It's a good feeling, that's for sure," Parise said. "I'm happy about it. I hope they're happy about. Now we'll just move on." No one attempted to sign him to an offer sheet (read: they're all scared of Lou) As expected, his salary is stepped over the 4 year contract. Cap hit is $3.125 Million. He earned $703,000 last season. 07-08 = $2 Million 08-09 = $2.5 Million 09-10 = $3 Million 10-11 = $5 Million

Nothing wrong with his agent, Zach just drinks the Not saying Lou didn't get the better end of this deal, but the Devils are big on performance bonuses, which don't count against the cap, and which Lou doesn't disclose to press. Zach will get more than enough $$$ for what he contributes and in the long run his loyalty will be rewarded.

Took the words right out of my mouth . . . So by all means, keep 'em coming. Expect Lou to attempt to draft or acquire all 4 Zajacs in the future, we like to keep it all in the family. -
Well the consensus rumor is that Lowe will go after Parise if he can't get Vanek . . . and believe it or not most Devils fans believe that if Zach signs an offer sheet then Lou Lams will let him walk for picks due to his whole "best interest of the team before the best interest of an individual player" manner of thinking . . . However, most devils fans don't believe Parise would even consider signing an offer sheet in the first place so, uh yeah . . . Parise has stated that he likes NJ, and that he and Lou have talked about signing a long term deal. Plus we've got his brother in the system. If Parise's aunt's husband's second cousin's nephew's half-brother played hockey the Devils would probably sign him in an effort to avoid another Neidermayer situation. I have heard that Lou will talk with Zach's agent next week and hammer out a deal. Most believe it will be a 5 or 6 year deal with a graduation in salary over the last few years of the contract. What Zach gets will depend on whether the Devs land Souray and what we sign Paul Martin for, as he declined arbitration in order to negotiate a long term deal. Also as an aside, I was in Indiana this past week visiting family and I saw a guy in the Indianapolis International Airport wearing a Fighting Sioux Hockey shirt.

The only way Ryan is that tall is if he was measured while wearing skates by a blind guy with faulty measuring tape. The highest I have seen his weight listed is at about 145, I don't know what it is now, but kid better pack on the pounds or he's gonna get killed playing in the WCHA. This is Ryan Bourque as I remember him . . . he's the one with the baseball cap. He's a twig
-
Duh, because Ray Bourque already franchised the Qdoba down the street from the arena and purchased a suite when Chris committed I don't know if he's grown any in the year since I saw him, but I'm only 5' 3" and he didn't look that much bigger than me. I heard Ryan is also looking at UNH 'cause his sister went there.

David Hale has signed a 1 year contract with the Calgary Flames.
-
Yup, that was Chris. Hated that kid, thought he was too good to do his own laundry. He's now with the Caps. I saw Ryan when he took his unofficial visit to BU this past summer and he is tiny. Chris at least was stocky like his father, but Ryan needs to eat a cheeseburger . . . or an entire cow. I have heard that he is good though, and not as much of an attitude problem as his older bro. BU has already recruited his equally tiny friend and roommate David Warsofsky, so good luck with that.

Cheers Part Deux was built before I started college in Boston, but after my cousin started . . . so somewhere between 1999 and 2003. Or for the cheap version of scenery, just stroll through the Public Gardens.

Ha ha, we call it "The Rock" because it's the Prudential Center

Let's have some fun with these . . . Zach Parise does his best impression of Nathan Gerbe. That's a solid 9.0 for technical merit and at least a 9.4 for artistry. Da da, Da da, duh duh Da! Tequila! Parise really wanted to be an Olympic Figure Skater, but the NHL will have to do.
-
Zajac: "3, 2, 1 . . . Blast off" Parise: "Oh ****, here it comes. Stop touching me Preissing. CC sucks."
-
I wanna hug you, but you won't let me There's a postgame interview with Travis in the multimedia section of the Devils MSG page Also an old interview with Zach if you scroll down . . . he explains why he looked like an idiot during a game in the Tampa series.
-
Man, these Devils, are just so boring Parise picks up a 2nd assist for the night on the 3rd goal
-
Yes but Travis scored . . . it's the bright spot of my day right now . . . 4 - 1 Ottawa It's Travis' first of the Playoffs . . . Parise with the secondary assist
-
Yes it does, but I swear he does it . . . just watch this video, they collide in mid air . . . that's one happy kid.
-
I'm well aware of the jersey popping incident . . . there's no need for it . . . moving on . . . Are there really any unique ways to celebrate a goal? One guy on my school's team throws himself as hard into the nearest pane of glass that he can; well then we kinda stopped scoring goals so when one went in the guys usually stood in disbelief, looked up and said a silent thank you to God, with no actual "celebration" taking place. But uh yeah, as far as Travis goes, his goals are memorable because he and that other kid on his line are so damn excitable. It doesn't matter who actually scores the goal they both always look like you've just told them there really is a Santa Claus and an Easter Bunny. Parise always jumps up and down, there's a youtube video of it I believe and any goal scored with 9 and 19 on the ice will result in great big hugs. As for Travis celebrating he usually goes with the "sharp turnaround" from the goal to locate his linemates with both arms extending up into the air, Parise will collide with him at warp speed with arms wide open, and then they will wait for Langs and the D-men to join. But Scott Gomez goals are the best because he screams "F*** Yeah" like in the theme to Team America.

Well if you don't mind watching online here are some links for tonight's Devils - Ning game Comcast Yahoo Both links will go live at gametime which is 7p.m.

Step 1. Zach puts puck in net. Step 2. Zach realizes he put the puck in the net and his eyes get all wide and he smiles like a kid on Christmas morning. Step 3. Zach pumps his right fist into the air uppercut style and yells, sometimes profanity comes out of his mouth, or at least it looks like profanity. Step 4. Zach skates over to Travis and hugs him like there's no tomorrow while jumping up and down with excitement. Step 5. All other skaters come over to congratulate him and give him a love-tap to the helmet. Step 6. Zach skates over to the bench to pound the fists of all his teammates in congratulations. Step 7. Repeat. Parise has scored about 10 goals in the Devils games I've been to see him play live the past two seasons and this is how it usually goes, of course Travis wasn't there the first year but whatever. I've never seem him do anything outlandish or unique like slam himself into the boards or pop his jersey so I really have no idea what they're talking about. If anyone wants to watch him celebrate a goal, the game will be streamed live tonight on both Comcast and Yahoo sports.

I'm pretty sure I posted this before, but this video takes you in-depth with Zach's mouth towards the end.

Noah Welch knocked a couple of his bottom teeth out in October. He kept saying he was gonna have 'em replaced but he didn't actually do so until last month I believe. Should've kept 'em out, looks more like a hockey player.
-
Zach was the # 1 star of Game 1 vs. TB . . . He and Travis are pumped And he finally got his teeth fixed.
-
We have no shortage of Beer in this city . . . but if you're gonna go, make sure you go to the real Cheers and not the fake Cheers. I'm partial to the Sunset G&T for libations, or go to Maryann's if you're looking for a dive to hang out with Superfans in.

Some bad news for David Hale . . . in addition to not having suited up for Calgary yet, his IgA may be acting up again.
