    A Bubba win:

    - a win
    - lots on the film to work on

    My knocks:

    - 3rd and 25 and a full blitz to give up 50 yards?
    - 11 and 14 need to bring it in if it hits their hands
    - loss of focus on special teams (go up two scores, give up long return)

    My "improve it" list:

    - I like the reverse rollout action with 8; however, he needs a short and long receiver option
    - tackling, especially in/by the secondary
    - coverage by the DBs

    My "you're fine" list:

    - hey, 27, calm down and relax, let muscle memory do the work

I think 27 will be fine.  In my experience - with those first few kicks in live action at college level seem to be in hyper speed.  Things will mentally slow down for him quickly.

And yet Kostich has what could be the BEST TE in the state of MN committed......

I love the small town kids, but a lot of our guys are not small town kids.  I have seen our TE coach in many situations and I disagree with your assessment.

Word I got from parent of player who graduated last year is that the players love him.

My minimal experience with him has been positive too.

  3. It's probably less than half that have tents.  We don't use one unless rain is expected.  It can get pretty windy in GF so tents can be a problem on some days unless you have a good one.

I got a telescoping flagpole on Amazon that holds two flags and it works pretty well.

Their preview was just published August 3rd, so it may take time for their clicks to catch up (or they may just not have very active fans).

Thanks.  Didn't realize how the rankings were compiled.

The way the program budget was it didn’t matter that we weren’t eligible. Total joke.

how much better is our budget now?  I have no visibility to know one way or the other.

I agree we need more coverage of local news. And if a GF radio station had the UW radio guy on I would expect that game to be a topic of conversation. But people are complaining that a radio show on a station named BISON1660 titled The Bison Insiders didn't talk about an upcoming UND game. If a GF station had an Iowa guy on I wouldn't expect them to talk about the NDSU game from a couple of years ago. Like it or not, that show will probably not talk about UND sports unless they are playing NDSU.

There must be some interest in UND by NDSU fans or there wouldn't be any NDSU fans (nd1sufan for one) reading a UND fan board let alone having nearly 950 posts.

Nothing wrong with that but it makes it hard to make the case there there would be no interest from NDSU fans when a UW guy is on the radio in Fargo.

Tom Miller ID'd Wolsky as a PWO on Twitter.  Haven't seen anything definitive on Langstaff, but I'm assuming he's a PWO too.

Does anyone know how many of the 2019 commits are PWO vs. scholarship overall?

Yes. Parents are Don and Donita. Both former VCSU athletes. Really nice kid(though it's been about three years since I spent time around him).

I believe that Don was at UND on the football team for 1 year at least when I was there.

UND football just landed its seventh commitment (third in-state) for the 2019 recruiting class. Luke Lennon, a 6-5, 210 TE from West Fargo and the nephew of legendary UND coach Dale Lennon, has verballed to the Fighting Hawks.

    Is Don his father?

  10. I know it doesn't really belong here but not sure where to post it.

Went to watch the Twin Cities Pro-Am basketball league last night.  Hooker is still really good.   Hit some big shots and was really the only one in either game that made his teammates better.  Same team s Mike Bruesewitz who played at Wisconsin and set him up a few times for open looks and a dunk.  They played off each other well.

Good basketball.  Royce White was probably the biggest name that played.  Crandall's team was off last night but he's in the league too.

I wouldn't say we are starting in a whole.  Last year was down year mostly caused by a freakish amount of injuries.  This team can still build off of 2016.  They know that they have the potential to have a season like that again.  Not like it was 10 years ago.  Many of the players from that Big Sky Championship team are playing this year.  this team has the potential to be a playoff team this year (and every year for that matter).  No need to let one season make them think otherwise.

I agree with the current players but was talking about recruiting.
