I guess we'll have to disagree. They also leave them piled up towards the front and for the most part expect people to come get their own but don't convey that message. They also use to have the huge gray garbage carts, similar to what's near the entrances. put about 8 of those in the student section and my guess there would be some improvement. However, some own't care and continue to just throw their trash on the ground.

There was a full size dumpster at the edge of the student area near the toilets.  Plenty of room in it based on what i could see when driving out of the parking lot.  It was easier to throw their cans on the ground so they did it.

I get that, but cutting down others to elevate yourself seems like the immature way to approach the situation.  Maybe Ralph seen this coming and wanted to keep the football buzzards of his meat wagon.  I have no idea the ins and outs of the ticket situation but am fairly certain it is not as simple as a 'we want more" discussion.

You forget what this thread is based on.  UND (not the fb program) asked for a different distribution of the REA income that is generated from a UND team playing in the arena.  It also became clear during the reporting  that REA takes 52% of fb ticket sales which seems crazy to many people.

UND is asking for a more fair playing field for all of their teams when it comes to financial support.  It is strange to me that their request isn't honored since all of the teams in question (including hockey) are UND teams.

But at some point, you have to win first to get recruits.  Gino inherited a team from his predecessor and started to win immediately because he instilled a different culture.  You do recall people saying the Ralph was a curse because they thought it made the players soft.   Of course that wasn't true, but you can win if you have the right message and expectation.

Gino's magic culture must have worn off or there are other factors involved.  Here are the records for his last three years at UND.  Overall first and then conference.

    1991–92 North Dakota 17–21–1 12–19–1 t-7th WCHA First Round
    1992–93 North Dakota 12–25–1 11–20–1 8th WCHA First Round
    1993–94 North Dakota 11–23–4 11–17–4 8th WCHA First Round

This is true. Every garbage can was overflowing and trash was piled up on the ground next to them. Any wind at all (rare in GF, I know...) will spread that stuff all over the parking lot.

I drove by there on my way out.  It was disgusting the way it was left.

There was a big dumpster sitting behind the porta potties.  I couldn't tell for sure but it wasn't overflowing.

  5. Just back from game.  So disappointing.

A couple of plays in second half where we had one wr in pattern and no other options. He was triple covered but threw there anyway. Poor play design.

Missed earlier discussion.  On first interception- what happened.  Santiago swung out of backfield to right and was wide open. Instead threw to linebacker with no UND players close.

They do, however, have a big impact on who is recruited to kick.  No way our cupboard should be this bare.  And don't even mention our execution on returns.

I don't know if the special teams coach recruits the kickers or not.  Back in the day different assistants recruited based on geography.

Who is our ST coach, cause he isn’t doing his job if our kickers are this horrible. Why isn’t he on the hot seat with Rudy.

Special teams coaches have very limited impact on the ability of the kickers.

Rob Bollinger (among others) was the special teams coach when I played at UND.  He was a great coach and got us in the right positions but kicking is an individual skill.  Maybe things have changed but I rarely, if ever,  heard from him regarding kicking technique.
