  1. Well Martens lost time because he was hurt for most of the second half. He only returned for the last SCSU game which he scored in and then he played the MSU playoff series. He was rotating with VV earlier in the year but losing all that playing time basically gave VV the spot. Martens got to play when Watkins was hurt but then gave it up when he returned.
  2. Absolutely none!
  3. With the players they have signed, I think they will do quite well. This year the West had some of the most talented players that they have had in years. Many of them will be going to Mary.
  4. The arena thing is right on. We sat next to some gopher fans who were there for the whole tourney. Very respectful and we had good chats. The last night we had some gopher fans buy tickets just for the championship. One of them spent all night trashing on Oshie. Any time you add travel into the equation, only the best fans make the trips.
  5. Well thats good news.
  6. I feel like I am in England tonight! Fog! What's that? Fog isn't supposed to exist in ND.
  7. Well if thats the case, put Walski in if Lammy gives up one more goal. If Lammy would have came in last year, we might have won that game.
  8. After watchin the Gophs stink it up for 50 min and then come back to win, anything is possible. The captains need to pull the team together and inspire some confidence.
  9. Me too but the D and Lammy need to wake up. WAKE UP!
  10. Question of the day. Will either goalie show up tonight?
  11. That may not be the start Hak wanted.
  12. Hobey with 2, Zajac, Oshie, and Lee with 1. 5-3 Sioux!
  13. As much as I admire the Rutgers program, I was very upset with that result. UND better win or I might as well have stayed in bed all day.
  14. Once again, Wheelers goal = Great hustle and a bit of luck. Binas goal = Bit of luck and a sieve in goal. God himself couldn't have stopped Wheelers goal. Gophers are still sieves.
  15. My sympathy goes out to you.
  16. The announcers jinxed the AFA. How many times did they mention HC during that 3 goal span by the Gophs? It was quite numerous. You don't speak of the shutout when there is a shutout and you don't keep bringing up HC.
  17. Since Miami won, I thought I would come on here and express my regrets that ND couldn't have lost last night because with the Gophers soon to lose, we would have had a sweep.
  18. I know this is unrelated to hockey but as I am listening to the game, I am watching the D2 basketball championship on CBS. I know know why I am losing interest in BBall. Some of the actions by these players make you scratch your head. Hey lets play tough D for 20 sec and then foul a guy when he gets by me. Yeah way to let 15 sec go off the clock when you are under a minute to play. Looks like Winona St. will take a second straight title. Wonder if any trolls will be out if they win. Edit: As I type this, Winona just gave the game away. Best college BBall finish ever! Glad to see them lose.
  19. True. Just because they are students doesn't make them die hard fans. One of the best atmospheres I have experienced as a student was the playoff games with Mankato this year. With the games being over spring break, only the die hard students came to the game. You could tell they were more into the game. I think the system is good but I want to see them get rid of student season tickets. It allows too many students who really don't crae to get lower bowl tickets and it keeps some diehard students in the upper bowl. Put all tickets on sale Monday morning. You can buy a lower bowl ticket if you want as long as they are available. WHen they sell out, you get upper bowl. ALso switch the on sale times to 8:00 in the morning. It seems more diehards will be lined up at 8 then at 10 and less class will be miseed.
  20. It will be interesting to see how the offense adjusts to a new QB. We have a great group of receivers and a very good running game. There are many big playmakers at those positions. How it all comes together with a new QB, I am not sure. I think we will run the ball more which is fine, since we have a deep group of runningbacks and we like to use some of our receivers on running plays as well. The thing that will benefit the new QB is that the receivers are talented and that we like to have a short passing game. We really like screens and short crossing routes with some homerun balls thrown in. If we can use the short passing game and let the receiver use their speed to bust plays, the new QB shouldn't be a big problem. It will be tough to replace last years QB, Manke, as I think he was one of the better ones i have seen in a while. The defense at times last year looked shaky and they lost some talent over on that side. The DB's were suspect at times last year while the line was pretty solid. I really don't know much about the new replacements on D, but I don't think it will be too hard to reach a level close to last years. They will need to fins some impact players however. Overall, I think we might do a tad bit worse this year. Maybe lose 2-3 games which still should get us into the playoffs.
  21. No they thought it was Proudsioux. With all the money he saves by drinking crappy beer, its only logical he would be the top dog on the list.
  22. Good for us, bad for my brackets!
  23. Yeah lets not start giving Michigan respect now. I mean if they show up tomorrow and can't use the "nobody gives us a chance" card, what will they do?
  24. No not excellent. I am 3 for 3 today and I am not having my national runner up lose in the first round.
  25. Wow! Well UND might not be hostile and abusive but this board sure is tonight! The Sioux game tomorrow just can't start soon enough, I guess.
