I'm glad you didn't tune in any earlier....

That was a crazy game. Every game this year when stuff has been building throughout the game and then it finally errupts, some players get into it but others just hang back. Tonight there was very little buildup until the incident behind the Mav's goalie. Within second everyone had paired up. While nothing came from it, it seemed very odd that they all got involved. Same thing with the brawl. No signs that there is bad blood and then all of a sudden, POW! I agree that Phil got taken out either to avoid injury or possibly so he would not get involved in a fight. If Phil was out there, he might have taken up Clark's challenge or even possibly made some interesting stick motions.

Yes, Fabian and Lee. Both deserved them. Lee tried his hardest to not fight but he got drug to center ice, far far away from the AR's and he had no chance of holding off the landcow player. I thought Fabina was really into his fight. Never really saw him try to hold off his player but others say he did. Maybe I wasn't totally focused on that battle. Anyways if I were Walski, I would have put Clark on the ice so fast, he looked like a fool out there. God I love landcow series!

After hearing that, I ran to the nearest wall and started banging my head against it. How do you mess that up?

I wish they would drop all of the other factors from these awards (Mr. Hockey, Basketball, etc.). There should be an award for the best hockey player in the state, not the best hockey player in the state who also is a perfect citizen and student. If you want a character award, then create a new one. Players should be honored for their hockey skills. It equates to a college graduate who has a 4.0 but no extra activities losing a job to a student with a 3.0 with extra activities. Why are extra activities so important?

Yeah I was talking about others being cited. I believe both the herald and inforum had articles mentioning that more people were cited, but I haven't heard a peep from WDAZ. Tools...

I just heard that as well. At least they just called it a hiccup.

I realize that tonight's story on WDAZ was mostly about Bina but they still rehashed the details of Oshie and Toews citations. What I am wondering is if the news has ever mentioned that there were more than just those two cited for minors? I haven't heard it but maybe someone else has. Maybe Bina's story is a bit more newsworthy than the whole minor situation, but it still is sick when the local news chooses to take a non story about well known people and run with it, while PCM has the entire GFPD on his block and it doesn't make the news at all.

I don't think they should sit at alll. Underage drinking is a minor offense in my book, comparable to a parking ticket. Tell them not to do it, maybe make them do something in the community if you really want them to, but don't suspend them over this.

Let me get this straight. It is alright to give praise to the bison for scheduling what looked like hard teams on paper, but in the end really weren't that great. It is not alright however, to give this same praise to UND for beating a Northern Iowa team who was ranked #3 at the time of the game, but in the end might have been a little overrated. Do I have it straight?

I just do not understand this nonsense about how we will suffer when we move up. Some people said that the bison would have such a hard time moving up and would have many a loss. All that did was lead to egg on the face of those people when the bison turned out pretty decent. Now we have some bison fans saying the same things that some Sioux fans said. Can they not see where this is headed??

I kind of enjoy it when fans of other teams come on here and post things other than the normal "You guys are all Nazi's" junk.

I think I remember reading recently that Dartmouth was starting to get hot. They would be another team to add to the list.

I agree with most of this. I see UW possibly overtaking CC if they sweep this weekend. I also see us with an outside shot at 3rd but I sure would like another shot at Tech at home.

I am not really sure we want to root for UW. CC doesn't seem as good as their record indicates and UW seems better than their record looks. CC finishes up with series against Minn, Denver, SCSU, and Minn St. UW finishes up against AA, SCSU, Tech, and UMD. On paper it looks like UW has a lot easier schedule. I wouldn't mind seeing CC sweep or at the very least a split. UW would then stay behind us in the race for home ice. I think we can catch CC even if they are 3 or 5 points ahead if we play like we have been since the break.

Most of the math is right. The only thing wrong is that if UW and CC split, CC will be 3 points ahead and UW will be 1 behind us.

When WI and the U of M first scheduled the bison, did they know that they were going to be competitive? Did they know they were going to bring lots of fans? No! They scheduled the team because the states are close. That should be the same with UND. I also beleive that if these schools look at how many fans NDSU brought and how the teams played, they will beleive that UND is capable of doing the same things. Plus both schools already know that UND brings lots of fans for hockey and it would be reasonable to assume they would do the same for other sports.

I think the former players thread is fine if you want to find out what Blake did to Crosby last night or things of that nature, but this was a special event and deserved its own thread. That being said there is no need for duplicate threads.

My eyes must be deceived by those numbers!? I wonder what the bison fans will say about this?

You mean you get confused when you hear "Miller shooting and Miller blocks it and Miller with the shot again", all the while the crowd is very loud but since there are so many Sioux fans you don't know who is who!? Yeah I think first names is a must.
