  1. It might have been sarcastic but it still is talking down to Walski. I know some people think because he is from ND he should be the backup but why do others dismiss him so easily because he is from ND? The coach makes the decision and geography isn't a factor either way. I can't believe I agree with Live 2 play, but show Walski some love!
  2. Thats what they call Denver's. Maybe the "receptacle", though. It flows nicely if the tongue.
  3. O I know. I loved seeing him on the dasher. But RexBanner must have been talking about G's actions, cause Prp did nothing wrong. Right?

    NFL Draft

Not for a while. I could have seen Miami maybe choosing a corner or somebody on D over Quin, but not Ginn Jr. I guess when Daunte is starting for them next year, they will regret it.
  5. Yeah, I agree. The coach was totally unprofessional in that situation!
  6. Isn't there a SCSU fan on this board that can help out???
  7. I realize their was no "official" student section at the Manakto games, but the students were allowed to buy tickets before the public. I got mine early so I was surrounded by students and not the general public. So it was a student section to me. As for the band, I also realize that they don't want certain cheers to be said so they have the band play during them. If thats the case, they shouldn't complain about the silence of the fans. If you let them do one anti-Shep cheer, maybe the rest will be clean. Who really knows since they don't give the opportunity. It just sucks to not be able to razz the refs after a bad call because the band is playing. Another reason why I loved the Mankato series was that the band was small and didn't always stifle the crowd. Anderson was hearing it pretty bad and I loved it.
  8. I am wondering about this now. Where I grew up in rural ND, we had to take a hunter safety class as part of a Industrial tech class that we were required to take. So everybody, non hunters and hunters alike, had to pass a hunters safety class to pass the class and the grade. Mind you this was only 6 years ago so I guess I thought it was common in ND schools. Maybe not though.
  9. Is cheering the same as playing music? Because I really don't hear a lot of cheers coming from the band. They play music alot, which is good because it does create a better atmosphere. However, they have a tendency to play whenever they want, like in the middle of the few chants the students start such as after a questionable penalty. If they only could figure out when to start playing, a problem wouldn't exist. As I previously mentioned before, one of the best student sections I was in was the Mankato playoof series. Now while maybe not the rowdiest, since it was held over spring break, a high percentage of the people there were diehards. If they could find a way to always put thse people in lower bowl and the rest in the upper, the student section would be a lot better. Anyways, I am glad they are keeping the cheerleaders. They aren't quite at St. Clouds level but they are close.
  10. There is a facebook group about it. I assume someone close to the cheerleaders made the group after they were told about the plan.
  11. While our cheerleaders might not be as talented on the ice as Minnesota's are, they look a heck of alot better. I like to watch the goofs cheerleaders skate but they leave something to be desired in the looks department. I think our cheerleaders do a fine job.
  12. Anyone see that replay of Z Par taking a high stick to the throat? It seems like all of these teams are having trouble keeping the sticks on the ice.
  13. Sorry I didn't make my post that clear. I was directing my comment at SiouxCrioux, not you. I fully agree with your view on the situation.
  14. Well if you think that criticizing other fans on a message board is on the same level as criticizing the players we all cheer for, than you might be a little messed up. Edited for clarification

    The TRAP

There is a difference between being the teams main philosophy and using it in certain situations.

    The TRAP

Very true. I would rather play the game right and not win a title, than play a cheap version of the game and win a title that wouldn't mean as much.
  17. Its fine to have an opinion on how a certain player is palying. Its wrong to insult him. Saying that Lee hasn't played up to his potential is fine. Sometimes he doesn't do as much as he probably is capable of. Others do the same, take for example when Oshie missed countless open nets at the beginning of the year. However, the problem comes when people start to say "he doesn't deserve to play here", "sit him on the bench", "i hope he goes pro", "he sucks", "he cost us the game", etc. When you start insulting the player instead of just judging his play, you have crossed over into bashing. You can judge players without bashing, but a high amount of people on this board can't get this concept throught their heads.
  18. Yes cause all of these posters were the ones hating on Woog back in the day. There are morons in every fan base.
  19. I hope not. As cool as the thing is, it aint suitable for a nickname. The one thign we can't pick is some abstract thing that can't have a personality. Names with colors in front aren't good either.
  20. Eastern Kentucky is called the Colonels.
  21. Cat in the hat.

  22. If it ever comes to this point, I do love the name cavalry! If we ever need to change, it should cavalry or nothing.
  23. I would venture that just because you aren't PC, most liberals are. Not all liberals are PC nuts, but all PC nuts are liberals. *The word all used in my post refers to a huge majority, not necessarily ever single person. I am sure you can find a conservative PC wack job, but they are few and far between.
  24. I wonder what this comment was supposed to mean? UND Lacrosse Results University of North Dakota I knew there was a reason they made colored lacrosse balls. The field was full of slush the entire game. Eau Claire played well and had a couple good shooters. UND's offense didn't perform well in the seconds half and they took many penalties throughout the game. Thanks to Eau Claire for making the long road trip and to the refs who had to put up with our fans.
  25. I knew there was something different when I looked at the center on my way back from class. I am sure this won't go over well at all.
