  1. Probably, but you would have to get the code.
  2. BSU's Pre Sale is for BSU Season Ticket Holders only. The general public gets their shot at tickets on Saturday, September 21, I believe.
  3. This is what the new WCHA is looking at for a streaming platform, one provider to house all WCHA games. From what I have heard that came out of the WCHA Summer Meetings in Bemidji is that they are in talks with FoxSports to be that platform. All schools would put their games out on HD and some people that are more tech savvy than me have said this could very easily lead to Roku. I think if the WCHA would have stayed together after the defection of Minnesota and Wisconsin, FoxSportsNorth would have been interested in listening to a presentation about becoming the broadcast home for the WCHA. With Bemidji, North Dakota, Duluth, St. Cloud and Mankato in the mix (not sure if Omaha or Tech would be in the market), it would have made a nice market and something to fill in for the loss of Gopher hockey games. But that ship has sailed...... I know currently BSU's D-II conference uses a common hosting service to send out the feeds to all NSIC games.
  4. Nah, BSU has rolled all four lines for most of the year. Actually the fourth line is fun to watch out there (Cain, Gerbrandt, Brewer) and has seen a lot of ice time. But as a whole, this BSU team just does not have the scorers, or if they do, no one has stepped into that role. And when they do score, the goalies take the night off.......
  5. A lot of UNO fans seem to think Nebraska-Lincoln will be the next one to start up.
  6. You left out the 5-1 thumping the Beavers put on Denver! Yes, it has been a rough year on us.... Too many one goal losses/OT games that they lead in the third.
  7. <whisper> Fear the Beavers.... Fear the Beavers.... </whisper> Last year it was UNO and UMD. Time to add UND to the list!!!!
  8. What were you doing in the Wadena area? From there? That is my old stomping grounds, grew up in Verndale and I actually taught in Wadena for a while. Still have many friends and family there.
  9. As a BSU Season Ticket holder, I wish they would have built the seating with a steeper incline, putting the top row a little higher, but closer to the glass.
  10. I have a cheap, $9 set of rabbit ears from Menards that I can pull in the OTA feeds of the Beaver Hockey game in. Works better on the TV on the main floor than the one in the basement though.
  11. Dave's Pizza, corner of 15th and Irvine. Get there early though as they open at 5:00 and the place fills up fast on game nights. It could take an hour and a half to eat as well, but the pizza is worth it!
  12. Thanks squirtcoach, I should have mentioned that option as well. If you are in the Minneapolis market, as deemed by DirecTV, then Lakeland Public Television (I thought is was channel 22 when I had DirecTV) is on that as well. Not sure if it is on Dish Network or not. BSU has pretty good coverage for their home games in the state of Minnesota and parts of the Dakotas, Wisconsin and Iowa, especially if you have a digital TV. With all the PBS stations in the state picking up the feed through one of their alternate feeds, along with DirecTV's Minneapolis market, people have access to the games.
  13. B2 Network, or AmericaOne as it is called now, also streams the games through the 'net for a fee. BSU sends out the Lakeland PTV feed thorugh this stream. If you are near Minnesota and have a digital TV, you could probably pick up the game with some OTA rabbit ears. Most of the PBS stations in the MN pick up the game on one of their alternate channels, while Lakeland pushes it through their main channel. I live in the Alexandria area and can get the game on three different PBS feeds (Lakeland Main and two other PBS altenate channels) that I pick up with a $9 set of rabbit ears.
  14. Yep, it is a Saturday-Sunday series in Bemidji. BSU released their official schedule this weekend.
  15. Yep, that's me, The BeaverPond guy. And yes, I think at times my wife thinks I am nuts, but she enjoys the hockey also. Our almost three year old daughter loves hockey (and swimming in the pool at the hotel) and our eight month old son just comes along for the ride for now (although he does follow the action).
  16. Actually, my family and I live in the Alexandria area. So we make the trip up on weekends for BSU games. Could be interesting to see what gas prices will do to the budget this year, but we have our hotel stays booked and tickets ordered.
  17. I have seen that it would be 7:05 starts both night, which would make Sunday pretty much impossible for my family as my wife and I are burning a lot of vacation time on a cruise the beginning of October. Now if Sunday would be an afternoon game (3:00), it would eliminate one night in the hotel and we would be able to see both games. Otherwise, I would probably end up selling the Sunday tickets...... Of course, they would probably fetch a nice $$$$$ amount on the "market"!
  18. The unofficial schedule I have seen out of BSU has North Dakota at BSU for a Saturday-Sunday series, November 19 and 20. I am hoping it is a Friday-Saturday though........
  19. I think Barry Alvarez got this one rolling with Wisconsin and he got Delany on board. Michigan had publically said they didn't want to leave the CCHA (knowing what it could mean to the smaller schools) and Minnesota sounds like it didn't want to leave the WCHA (rivalries and travel). But once Barry got Delany on board, they could play the "If six schools offer a sport, then the Big Ten can sponsor a championship and schools have to be there" card. Michigan and Minnesota were stuck. Plus, Barry was the one who put an end to the College Hockey Showcase between the Michigans and Minny/Wisconsin.
  20. I would not be so sure about Miami jumping over. I read somewhere this morning (I went looking for it to cite it) that Miami would probably have financial issues with traveling to WCHA barns. Right now, most of their conference games are bus trips up into Michigan. Joining the WCHA would require a lot of flights, and one of the things cited was the size of their arena, 3200 seats, limiting the amount of $$$ they can get in. Also, the many of the remaining schools in the CCHA are in the MAC with Miami for their other sports.
  21. $15? That is an expensive antenna! I went to Menards and they had a "table" top model for 8.99 and it works awesome. Just hooked it up to the antenna (cable) port (my DirectTV Receiver is in another port) on the back of my TV, switched the TV over to AIR and ran a channel scan. Since the TV has a digital tuner, all the PBS stations in the area show up, so in the Alexandria area that means KAWE (6 feeds) out of Bemidji and Prairie Public out of Appleton/Fergus Falls (4 feeds).
  22. Just repainting the lines. Nothing to see here.........
  23. All BSU home games will be carried live on KAWE.
  24. From the Bemidji Pioneer today: Bemidji State men
