Is it me, or does Hakstol sugarcoat things a lot more this season in these post-game interviews? The old sound bites used to be...no excuses...didn't get it done....etc. Not a huge deal, but the tone has changed for some reason.....

No Top 3 finishes and no New Year's Day bowls during that time? That's an abyssmal failure IMO. Monumental collapse at home against Michigan that season (2003), and couldn't rebound the next week against a very ordinary Michigan St. team. Mason's dismissal was long overdue.

If you're willing to miss the first 5 minutes of the first period, and don't care where you are the arena, you'll get them for under face.

Mark it down right now. There is absolutely NO chance (read: ZERO) that Bohl gets the Gopher offer.

Bohl is a similar candidate to when Ohio State hired Tressel, and we know how that turned out. Tressel had a little bit better resume though, with a couple of I-AA championships under his belt at Youngstown State. Gopher fans need to look beyond the big names, the retreads. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. Paul Johnson would be the best candidate, if he's interested.
