  7. I drove 14 hours through a snowstorm to Denver, didn't get a ticket, we watched 'em get their asses handed to 'em 6-1 in a bar, and still managed to have a blast!
  8. Gino Vanelli I really need to get to one of these jazz festivals.....

  12. That's a good one. Also, the two regional games against Michigan stand out for me.
  13. Don't mind you playing at all, please continue to stop by! I plan on keeping this thread living all summer (even if I end up talking to myself, which is highly likely). Welcome to Shawn-O's 70's A to Z! "A" was for Ace, "How Long" (see prior posts). Moving to the B's, this was a tough letter, lot's to pick from. I going with Blood Sweat & Tears. David Clayton-Thomas, one of the all-time great voices in rock. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OV5ODj2UPFw
  14. Let's stay with the 70's. My favorite Doobie Brothers song...and often forgotten. Even better live. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksQ8F560WJA...feature=related
  15. R.I.P, Mr. Fogelberg...you are truly missed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgRoR4PFv0w
  16. It doesn't get any better than 70's lite pop. Here's two of my faves, but the list could go on forever... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hn-enjcgV1o http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K48LeQjmHPA...feature=related
  17. Great stuff with the Bros. Johnson and George Baker, very solid. Here's the original version of "Little Green Bag". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0L1hD5OlPtw
  18. Right. Also, no trip to Minneapolis for the Sioux next season.
  19. Jackson has a great vision for that program, and I think we'll be seeing a lot more of them on a national scale on his watch.
  20. It's a pipe dream, but I'd love to see it at Madison Square Garden. That would be an interesting mix.
  21. We may not have the numbers, but pound for pound we have the greatest fans in the world. Ran into so many great Sioux hockey fans and other hockey fans at Brooklyn's we lost count.
  22. That sucks about the hotel. We stayed at the Doubletree, about a twenty dollar cab ride to the Pepsi Center, and they were great. The NCAA Powerlifting Championships were going on there as well, which made for some interesting elevator and lobby B.S. sessions. I didn't know such an event existed....they didn't know about our little party, either.
  23. Your instincts about tickets in Denver were right on the mark, MafiaMan. I've never seen anything like it at a Frozen Four. Cheapest opportunity we had before faceoff was $300 for a pair. After driving through a blizzard in Nebraska to get there, we thought about it for a second, then dug in our heels and told the scalpers to get effed. Met many great Sioux fans at Brooklyn's during the game (many filed back in during the 1st intermission). Twenty-twenty hindsight, but in poker terms, that was a good lay down given the hand that played out.
  24. Confucius predict ugly helmets turn water at bottom of Pepsi Can into whine for Touchdown Jesus.
