Thomas was staying in a new capacity, giving the situation at least some continuity. Less sense of urgency. Buning/Ralston/Harmeson clusterbleep. Wouldv'e expected nothing different. It's a dismissal and a total reboot. Needed a sense of urgency for the current players and future recruits.

I think you nailed it here. Booster lunch on 12/12 would have been perfect. The notion that nothing is happening during the 15 day window other than fax machines whirring, hard drives grinding, and paperwork stacking up is absurd.
