The funny thing is the United States Military Academy got their deal done in a week, firing to hiring. That's the feds for crying out loud! This is not the rebuilding of the Hadron Collider here...it's hiring a guy to run the football program. Get it done!

Thomas was staying in a new capacity, giving the situation at least some continuity. Less sense of urgency. Buning/Ralston/Harmeson clusterbleep. Wouldv'e expected nothing different. It's a dismissal and a total reboot. Needed a sense of urgency for the current players and future recruits.

I think the fact that DeBoer applied on the final day, and apparently was asked, is very telling. I think it goes his way.

I think you nailed it here. Booster lunch on 12/12 would have been perfect. The notion that nothing is happening during the 15 day window other than fax machines whirring, hard drives grinding, and paperwork stacking up is absurd.

Maybe Jackson and Golladay knew something. Faison was waiting on Rich Ellerson the whole time! Three yards and a cloud of dust baby!
