Honestly, the WCHA break-up and conference realignment had me down in the dumps this season. What this UND team accomplished this season and the tournament run, while not what we were ultimately hoping for, has rekindled that spark for me. Can't wait for next season!

Not exactly going to be a ratings bonanza no matter which weekend it falls.

This has been going on in conference tournaments for decades. Speaking of that, anybody else think the 2-out-of-3 opening weekend prior to the Final Five/Frozen Face-off/etc is no longer necessary? Open that slot up for additional non-conference. Seed based on regular season finish, bottom half of the leagues go golfing. Great thread by the way!

It was done this way with an 8-team format for a number of years.

This puts asses in seats and rewards regular season success. Totally on board.

Hey, I hope we thump them to the tune of the 2005 game, but I have yet to see or hear any signs of overconfidence from their coaches and players. Some of you are trying to stir up drama where none exists.

Nanne won't be lacing up the skates next Thursday, so I wouldn't put much stock in it.

Look at the body of work over the season and the way the teams played their regional finals, I'd say he's dead on. But as recent history has shown us, it's anybody's for the taking.

It's an idea who's time has come. We can hang out with Michigan, Ohio State, and the Air Force Academy.

There are about 70 schools in MN participating (all Twin Cities metro) and it has been and will continue to grow.
