Obviously that's a reference to the Ralph as non-owned.
I wonder though are they going to issue any sanctions against schools that refuse to host us due to our name? I doubt it.
That really shows the brilliant legal move to challenge this on a technicality rather than the heart of the matter which would be whether the name actually was hostile and abusive or was the NCAA acting capriciously. Next time let's get a real lawyer.
That's not a bad point, but you could hold those events at the Alerus just fine under the NCAA regulations, right? I don't go to too many football games, but I think the only logo that might create a problem would be on the field.
I've lost all of the respect I had for Stenjhem due to his butting in on this matter. UND was looking at hiring local attorneys to handle it when Stenjhem decided to butt in. He hires an expensive out of state firm, spends a million dollars and this what we get?
At first I thought "are you nuts paying for the logo" but on the other hand they do morally own the name, right. I say go ahead and do that but ONLY pay that money to the first tribe that signs on.
Let them flaunt the revenue to the rest of them.
I guess I don't understand you. The hit that they showed and said that Stoa was put out for the year was a hip check the same as the "hit of the game."
The point was that the hit on Stoa was very nearly the same hit. Since they called the one a dirty hit then the "Hit of the Game" couldn't have been beautiful, could it?
I know it's been said before but after getting embarrassed at home last year the Sioux have no reason not to get up for this game. I hope they do chant overrated before the game as it'll be another motivator.
Sioux 5-1. 4-2
Sorry Lammy.
Miller had a spot (and lost it to Martins for Friday's game).
That leaves Martins, Forney and Davidson with a chance to compete for a spot right now. I agree with Redwing that I'd like to see Martins and Forney a chance to show us what they've got.
Martins has always played hard and he deserves the shot. Forney's got the skill, let's see if he can show it.
