My wife is due to have a baby boy the end of June. Those are words I never hope to hear....
Although I was told that my hockey watching would become more limited once the baby comes.....hah!
I found that when the kids are there I watch differently. Don't notice how the coach is changing things up as much during the game.

I still can't get myself to cheer for the rodents. Just can't do it.
This help?

Agree, I just need to find a babysitter for both nights?
Dad up and take the kid with.

This weekend MUST be a 4 point home sweep and the all too rare stick salute. We are one point behind Denver and Duluth and absolutely have to take care of business at home this weekend and in two weeks at home vs. Bemidji State. I think a 7-1 record over our last 8 regular season games is very possible and it starts this weekend.
We need to win, but we'll get AA's best game and the trap has made us look ugly in the past.

Most "cyber crimes", such as online copyright violations, are handled by DHS. If there's serious money involved you can call in the Secret Service and FBI. Same as if these streaming sites were also used for malware attacks, hacking, DDNS, etc. So "inconsequential" or not, the feds take this stuff pretty seriously, and they do have a pretty decent track record of jailing repeat offenders. Throw in the fact you have copyright owners with serious bucks on the table, and these sites will probably not be long for this world.
I would agree that Cyber crimes are in the purview of the FBI and Secret Service. I don't understand how anyone thought that throwing responsibility for bootlegging video onto the Immigration and Custom Enforcement. It seems to me that they aren't an investigatory agency and would be better off staying focused on what they should be focused on.

Kelley and Faison too!
Yeah, them too.
-
I blame Grant Shaft.

I have a lot of sympathy for those that want to make information free, but property rights are property rights and the law is the law.
What concerns me about this is that these investigations were done by Homeland inSecurity and Immigration and Customers Enforcement.
Jeez, these guys are grossly failing in their main jobs and they're out screwing around with this inconsequential stuff.

I have a few questions for the nickname supporters on here demanding Kelly and Faison. After you run Faison and Kelly out of town to get your pound of flesh for the nickname, who do you think will even want to be president or AD of this university? Should we just have Al Carlson and Jeff Kolpack pick our next AD and Prez? You obviously believe they have UND's best interests heart if you believe this drivel.
Everyone needs to think rationally about this. Douple knows his ass is grass and he wants to take down UND with him. The man's been Gene Taylor's cuddling partner for the last few years and now he's doing his buddy a solid on his way out the door.
Maybe we can get someone good who's accomplishments will be greater than playing in the pep band.

Don't you think Stenejem tried to negotiate a one tribe solution?
I don't. I think the entire deal was to thwart the will of the people both on the reservation and in the GF/UND community.
What we do know is that Stenejhem said he and the governor would meet with the tribes and negotiate a deal with the tribes.
Wayne never did any such thing.

All I know is that Hak got taken to the woodshed by Blaiser.
And Hak took some lumps in the woodshed Friday night but turned the tables on the old guy Saturday night.
Blais just can't sustain a winning streak against Hak.
-
So who else is out there? And no, Blais is not a valid answer. I would not trade Hakstol for Sandelin either.
That's the big thing. Hakstol's very good. Maybe he's not great at everything but there's nobody out there that you could reasonably expect to be any better.

That's 8 pm MT time...is that right? If so, why the late start?
WCHA composite schedule says the same thing: 8:07 Mountain

Thanks. I'm running a 10k to help fund research to show CC ways to eliminate floating tiger heads--wanna pledge?
Is that 10K straight out of town or are you going to come back?
I hope you guys take care of that kid doing the happily excited dance as well.
-
In past years, I've watched the CC broadcast, but I'm not sure I can stand to watch the floating tigers between whistles. Two years ago, I went through the whole nine yards of cancer treatment--surgery, chemo, and radiation, but that was nothing compared to the floating tiger heads.
So you're a floating tiger head survivor. I'm proud of you.

This is the longest championship drought in Sioux hockey in over thirty years!
I blame Dean Blais for starting it.

any web cast out there for this weekend
NOT THE FLOATING TIGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Sioux head to Colorado Springs after two home splits. The Sioux sit tied for 3rd in pariwise (on pace for a 1 seed), tied 2nd in wcha (with umd, 1 point behind the gwozettes) and have the most wins in the nation with 18. Sure the Sioux have had some let downs the last few weeks but with a month left of wcha play they still sit in one hell of a spot to get a 1 seed and win another WCHA title. Things could be worse...
The one thing that stood out this weekend to me was the short handed goals and how they happened. The D needs to sure up a bit, especially with a lead but all in all there aren't many teams as talented than the sioux.
#8 in st paul!!
NCAA Division I Overall Record: 18-7-2 (.704)
Conference Record, WCHA: 13-5-0, 26 points
Home: 9-4-1 / Away: 8-3-1 / Neutral: 1-0-0
NCAA Division I Overall Record: 14-11-1 (.558)
Conference Record, WCHA: 8-8-0, 16 points
Home: 6-5-1 / Away: 6-5-0 / Neutral: 2-1-0
'Perfect time for a road trip. Brings the team together as they get their first WCHA series win in a while.

All I can say is, good luck Fargo getting flood protection money now.
Shouldn't Conrad, Dorgan and Pomeroy have used their clout two years ago?
-
That save was, IMO, the big play... I thought it was going in - dell made an awesome slide to keep us in it.
Trupp = my POG.
Trupp is the best player of the homestand, by far.

Hak had a good long talk with the stripes after the first.
Wonder if that's the about the non call on the breakaway takedown
-
Thanks for nothing, Dave!
Berger was only successful with Dean's recruits.

he just seems to be the odd man out. rowney and rodwell bring size, speed (rodwell, which im still impressed every game) and toughness between the two of them. cichy was playing decent then just fell off the map. hope we see him in there soon!
Doesn't really fit in on the 4th line, Hak has others he wants on the first 3.
I feel bad for the guys that can help the team but are on the outside looking in. Davidson, Cichy, Gleason, Bruno.
If it were me, I'd have Marto on the blue line (rotating the 6th spot between the Freshman) and have Cichy play on the third line in Marto's spot. Then I'd at least spot in Davidson and Bruno in on the fourth here and there.

The way I understand it is that it's a zone defense through the neutral zone. When they're doing it they really plug it up in there.
I really don't understand the pro's and cons of the different schemes.
I guess when you notice we seem to have trouble getting through the neutral zone you should look for the things Yzerman pointed out.
