  1. St Cloud scores

    6-2 Sioux

Play is under review, but I don't think it can be overturned.

Then again...it hasn't stopped them before.

    Goal stands.

Looked to me that the St Cloud guy dove into Dell which led to the puck going into the net. At least they got it right last night.

  2. You can't replace a guy like Gregoire, but as is the saying, if someone goes down it opens up an opportunity for someone else. There are some guys who aren't playing much, or aren't playing roles they hoped to be in, this gives some guys a Pipp chance. Or would that be a Gehrig?

I would hope that this is motivation for some of the guys with talent that haven't produced up to their potential to fill the void.

I think one of them will.

    (I'm not naming any names.)

  3. Will be staying in the Elgin, ND motel Friday and Saturday nights while on a pheasant hunting trip. Anyone in that vacinity know if the motel or bar carries FSSN so we can watch the Sioux/Huskies hockey games?

Does anyone know if Elgin ND has electricity?

  4. With both of these plays having been reviewed and the wrong call made. The over head view seems to be clear on both calls and yet they made bad calls. WOW! I would love to hear the reasons on why the calls were made in the eyes of Todd Anderson . How could that not be interference when the player is laying in the goal before the puck goes in. It was called no goal on the ice and should have stayed that way. Just my opinion.

I don't see how anyone could disagree with that.

  5. Hey now, Robert Morris is 4-0 to start this season, beating some decent teams in OSU and Air Force. :)

The last time that Notre Dame was here, Jeff Johnson had just come in and was trying to build up the program. He asked to come here without asking for a return trip because he felt that a trip to GF was necessary.

UND has always been willing to work with all programs to build up the sport. So it's not a bad thing to work with a Robert Morris to help them out.

We've played the toughest schedule out there so far. RM coming in isn't a bad thing.

  6. I was just going to post the same word...

There were times during Saturday's game were the Sioux couldn't seem to find their a$$ with both hands, but overall they played a very good game.

They played well enough to win against a ranked team. The goon has a video on his site that clearly shows the tying goal was a bad call.

  7. If that abysmal showing/result Saturday isn't enough motivation for the team to steam roll SCCC, they may just as well hang it up now. There is too much talent and experience on this year's team to play hot/cold nearly every series. Split? Anything less than taking 4 pts in our own barn should be considered a disgrace.

    Abysmal?

    Wow.

  8. Every NFL team does

They rent entire floors and no one is allowed except players, no wives, no families, no friends.

    Usually have meetings from 8-10

    No Professionals?

  9. There were a few guys that weren't moving their feet last night. I also wonder if the coaching staff should consider putting the team in a hotel on Friday nights when they are playing at home? They seem to lack focus on Saturday nights and you don't see that as much on the road.

I know the Vikings stay at a hotel for a home game even during pre season.

Not that we want to necessarily do what the Vikings do, but it's a good idea in my opinion.

  10. Frattin skated into the puck but did not make a kicking motion... Im not sure he even saw that he hit it.

That's the way I saw it as well. No distinct kicking motion.

I'm also concerned about what cameras the officials were using. I've heard, but maybe the tellers are wrong, that they ONLY use the overhead goal cam. It was OFF of the overhead.

Considering it was called a goal on the ice there's NO WAY you could show that it was clearly kicked in.

There were a few bad calls as well. Hexstall's interference was immediately after the Irish dude played the puck. I also thought the first Notre Dame goal showed have been reviewed for goalie interference. But the Sioux didn't argue it and so that's all moot. I think that the teams made it an easy game to call and fortunately the officials didn't screw the game up by any means.

  11. Maybe you need to go into the Ralph and help the cheerleaders out and get the crowd jumping. :silly::D

Good win Sioux! Now lets get that first home sweep of the season!

I really hate it when the fans are there to watch the game and not cheer. Boy what do they think they are? Adults?

  12. My daughter got me a Joe Mauer jersey through someone at her school that I know used a web-site. Don't know if it's the same one. Cost of the jersey was $22.00.........if it's a counterfeit, I can't tell.

What you got to understand is that when some players players are mediocre like Joe who, their jersey's aren't as popular. Especially after a down season for him last year. That must be why it went so cheap.

    ;-)
