High school recruits need to be built up.

Let me guess you are a hockey only fan. Only thing as bad as a hockey only fan is a Bison fan. Neither is good for UND.
NDSU literally subsidizes their entire athletic department and teammakers with their football program. UND hockey doesn’t come close otherwise UND wouldn’t have as much institutional support.
NDSU has dominated all of college football with their FBS wins and high draft picks. Only hockey fans know of any UND players in the NHL. The entire football world knows who Carson wentz is.
Not a great example, but your point is well taken. Carson is known only as one of the biggest busts in NFL history. Not happy about it as he seems to be a nice person.

FCS Fans Nation tweeted that UND was #13 in recruiting for 2024. I know that means nothing. I know that they also ranked NDSU as #1. I just find it interesting that they obviously have higher opinions of our recruiting than a few of the fans on this site.

I supposed they considered this but what happens when the school's arena has an event scheduled for one of those weekends (concert etc)? For example does this mean The Ralph will need to black out the arena for those three Saturdays?

Plus, it's at the X and was never going back to the TC.
Those who say they are "scared for their safety" usually have a political agenda and haven't been in a city that has more than one gas station in years.

Petey23 seems to have nailed this. Someone posted a comment in the Star Tribune that the flag looks like the Jubaland and Puntland flags in Somalia. Can't say that I can argue against that...
And who would have thought it from a white guy from Laverne, MN.

Your comment says more about you than you think.
The selected design, conceived by Andrew Prekker of Luverne, Minnesota, consists of a dark blue silhouette accented by a white eight-point North Star. Prekker’s inspiration came from other state flags recognized for their simplicity and memorability, such as Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado. However, his primary inspiration came from Minnesota itself, its motto “L’etoile Du Nord,” meaning “star of the north,” and its rich history.
Prekker explains that each color represents a different facet of Minnesota’s identity. The white stripe symbolizes snow and winter, the green stripe signifies the state’s natural beauty and the importance of agriculture, and the light blue stripe acknowledges Minnesota’s numerous lakes, the birthplace of the Mississippi River, and its name derived from the Dakota language, describing “a place of sky-tinted water.”

Not the bar owners tho
Pretty sure it will be easy for South Dakota and Montana fans to fill any gaps.

They still found a way. Not sure we are in position to talk !@#$ to a semifinal team and how they got there.
Plus it atracts trolls.

They were blindsided, probably already had their bags packed for holiday break. Mayville has talent for their level. Lots more movement on their part. While we have lots of talent, you can tell several of them are used to being the star, they have a shoot first mentality. There is at least one on the bench that gets just a few minutes but you can tell she is a true playmaker/point guard. Not a coach, but having several shoot-first players on the courts at the same time is obviously not working.

Holy Cross - gotta stop turning it over and start playing defense.

The epitome of "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard". Tonight Mayville looks like the better team.

Shannon no longer doing 360. Should I not read too far into this?
IMO one of those situations where Shannon voluntarily put in a lot of time in content development but with the history and research the rest of the team is able to do (especially KellY) there might be less window dressings but the content should continue to be solid.

Can't understand how or why someone can spend some much time and negative energy on something that they clearly don't enjoy. Just me though.
I assume you actually can't feel as negative as you come off here but the repetitiveness of the same criticisms over and over again while comparatively offering minimal positive outlooks is grinding. In the end, we all want to see better results.
Because they are not who they want us to believe they are.

I am hearing that the Coach NDSU is hiring is not currently on staff and of course the players want Roehl since they know him. Could be an interesting week.
If they hire externally isn't there a formal process they have to go through that takes time vs hiring internally is automatic?

Sorry if this is obvious but the past few years our inability to rush/hurry/sack the QB is directly related to our inabillty to stop third/fourth and long. As we all know everything starts with having better OL and DL - if we can't get em in the portal we gotta develop them. I would say OL is more solid than DL right now.

You obviously don’t know the person you are addressing or you probably wouldn’t use the word ignorance. Leave stupid judgements like that out of your posts and you have valid points.
Those who know UND football laughed out loud at the suggestion of "ignorance" - more like "legendary".

I said the scheduling talk had been exhausted but I will bite. So now we are going to create a conference battle with a D2? I don’t like that idea. I’m fine with playing one here or there but if we started traveling there or creating this yearly challenge then why are we even D1? The Big Sky/Summit challenge is a nice step. They had a challenge with the Horizon but Covid knocked it out. I don’t want a challenge with the NSIC.
Of course challenge matches with other DI schools is first choice but we aren't getting those. UND needs tune up games, they come here and rather than crush a NAIA team by 40 we might have a little more challenge and be able to run our offense against a bit better defense, plus we might pick up some paying fans from other schools.

In a one bid league there is no reason why UND should not be playing Moorhead or Minot State. Fear of losing is a cop-out.

He was obviously looking to get out of SU. Based on what he is quoted as saying at their "emergency meeting" last week he can really fake sincerity.

Exactly, that's horrendous logic. So, I am getting this vibe that some are happy with the status quo? Things are okay since we won in Division II. That mindset is the reason NDSU is marching along in the FCS playoffs while our favorite team is in the offseason. We're satisfied with being better than 75 percent of the teams. Doesn't anyone want to be the champion instead of the bridesmaid? The Fighting Hawks are the laughingstock in ND. People know that the Bison are the benchmark in North Dakota and laugh at us. As an Alum, I want us to be better. I am tired of first round exits and coaching contract extensions after 5-6 seasons. We should be pissed.
I was simply addressing the question asked about what does UND have that the bottom 75% might envy. Nothing about being "satisfied".
