  1. Chavez said most charitable gaming in the area is already locked down.
  2. They use UND sponsored travel, and multiple Alumni gatherings around the country often hosted by UND alumni. - Thought: I would guess the average age on these trips is in the late 70s (but then again that's where the money is). The also have an annual UND Mn Twins game and an annual UND Mn Wild game. Thought: I went twice, was not engaged at either by anyone from UND, and yes I tried to be very approachable. Did not seem worth the effort. As far as the Champions Club I dropped my membership a few years ago. After being a member for several years the CC could not find me in their system, it was so frustrating, never got a call or a note about reupping. So I just let it go. Was planning to reup this year at the pre-game event in Fargo before the SU game, the info said it went until 2:00 I believe, I showed up at 1:30 and the place was cleared out. I walked around and not one person engaged with me. Once again I rethought the value of the Champions Club. They did provide a very good experience at the Summit Basketball Tournament. Just seems like they just don't quite have it figured out like the school to the south. I do plan to join again in the fall.
  3. Champions Club management is the elephant in the room.
  4. Back on track - until we can break through the su's, UND is going to be among around 3-4 teams that rotate having 7-4 or 8-3 seasons and making the playoffs. Once again, this year making the playoffs is very achievable. Now that we know getting a first-round home game is decided more by politics, that is going to be on ongoing issue.
  5. So many forget that prior to Tommy a swing pass was 50/50. Most games prior to Tommy I could not say that UND had the best QB on the field, even games we won. Now I seldom feel that way.
  6. It's Ziebarth's turn - he has a great high school pedigree. I think he could have a very nice year for us, especially if the O line is imporoved.
  7. Yah St. Paul - they must have some buildings in Minneapolis.
  8. St. Thomas is a private university sitting on a pile of money, with boosters that write big checks whenever they need it, nestled in the heart of Minneapolis. They will have no problem settling in to DI.
  9. Amazing how some can make gigantic leaps in what has/has not happened behind the scenes.
  10. still road trips for some of us but just a friendlier tailgating environment :}
  11. Isn't it there already a shortage of available workers in North Dakota (that's what company executives are saying in Grand Forks) and every business in Fargo is trying to hire Not to mention trying to keep those who are not used to real winters. And you don't even want to think about POC invading.
  12. How's their attendance?
  13. There plenty of USD tampering behind this scenario. Coach Lee was fired one year after getting coach of the year - coincidence I think not.
  14. I met them you didn't. But it's okay for a few people to constantly be posting baseless worries and concerns about a player leaving just because he is who our coaching staff thought he would be?
  15. It's not broke.
  16. Other than pure conjecture is there anything solid that has been communicated by anyone that says Omot is looking? I was just at the Summit and met his parents and they said he was very happy. Perhaps some need to spend less time posting inane comments on the fan site and actually attend games and support the teams?
  17. Be here and you would know. UND hosted a nice social room before each game. Lots of happy players parents chatting and enjoying time with each other and fans. Need more fans here in person rather than wringing hands about the portal from their armchair.
  18. Danielson has another year available
  19. What happened in the past has nothing to do with the future. Trey and BJ are roommates and both seem to be enjoying being hawks. Iron sharpens iron
  20. Sorting through this list - if someone isn't participating in spring ball (injury, school conflicts) would they not be on the spring roster but still on the team? Several on this graduated or used up their eligibility correct.
  21. The future of officiating is interesting. Fewer people willing to put in the time and take the abuse means pool gets smaller. High schools in all states are feeling the pinch and that is the feeder for college.
  22. Thanks for posting.
  23. Actually it is a bargain - all session tickets $110 + $42 in fees ($152 divided by 18 games = $8.44 a game. If you are able to purchase directly at the box office you aren't charged the $42 in fees.
  24. Got my tickets - $42 in Ticketmaster fees added - better be a Taylor Swift concert at one of the halftimes. Pumped to see what it is all about.
