  1. Mackenzie Hughes is the latest commit. UND has its likely 2025-26 starting PG, and barring any new departures, the roster may now be full.
  2. From a Herald 2018 article about UND redoing the field.
  3. I think the thing to keep in mind is that aside from Hanna Miller, the transfers are 2024 high school grads, so they have either three or four years of remaining eligibility. We're not talking about players who toiled on the bench for three years and are now just looking for playing time. Ohnstad was a Minnesota AAAA all state selection, and Ava Miller was honorable mention (the same as Marisa Frost was who just had a good freshman year at NDSU). If you put up good numbers at the MN 4A level, as both did, you are a good player.
  4. It’s probably a longshot, but the opportunity to continue playing with her sister and just 3 1/2 hours from home may give UND a real chance.
  5. He’s going to Idaho State.
  6. Hanna Miller also has a 6'4" younger sister in the portal from Arizona State whom Hutter follows. Not predicting anything, but interesting nonetheless.
  7. There's an article in the Forum today about possible successors to Bergstraser at Moorhead, and Sather is one of the nine names mentioned.
  8. Per the Herald, Ibrahim to going to Dayton.
  9. Based on this: https://www.nilrevolution.com/2025/03/ncaa-issues-clarifying-qa-guidance-to-eligibility-waiver/, it appears Hughes would have a fifth year if she chooses to use it.
  10. Bergstraser from MSU-Moorhead has been hired as the new Denver head coach.
  11. You could very well be right, but the circumstances have changed since then, both in terms of Hutter's role and the availability of a ton of minutes at PG that may not have been there last season.
  12. I wasn't aware she may have a year of eligibility left. If so, then she'd be an excellent addition.
  13. Assuming two scholarships left, have to think Hutter is looking at a PG with college experience first and foremost, followed by another 6'2"+ 4 or 5.
  14. 6’2” Ava Miller is the latest commit. Transfer from South Carolina-Upstate. From Rochester, MN. Three years of eligibility left. Averaged 18 ppg and 12 rpg her senior year of high school in 2023-24.
  15. March of 2024.
  16. Class AAA all state by the coaches association. https://prepgirlshoops.com/2025/03/minnesota-high-school-coaches-all-state-selections-2/
  17. 6'1" Walker Demers, Sr. 5'9" Mikayla Aumer, Sr. 6'7" Miranda VanderWal, Sr. 5'9" Skyler Volmer, Soph. 6'0" Mataeya Mathern, Soph. 5'11" Sydney Piekny, Soph. 6'0" Anaiyah Fletcher, RFr. 5'11" Lauren Hillesheim, Fr. 5'10" Kendra Harvey, Fr. 5'10" London Harris, Fr. 6'1" Finley Ohnstad, RFr. 5'8" Lauren Reardon, Fr. Still should have three scholarships available.
  18. Kendra Harvey from Byron. She's a combo guard, but depending on who else is added will probably have to be more of a 1. She seems like a potential impact player.
  19. UND has done really, really well in MN so far. Hillesheim was a AAAA all stater. Harris was a AAAA honorable mention, and the defensive player of the year by one publication. Harvey was a AAA all stater. And Ohnstad was a 2024 AAAA all stater, with four years of eligibility left. I feel like MN recruiting is the key to getting UND back to women's basketball prominence, and this is a great start.
  20. I could be wrong, but I would not be surprised if she ends up playing more of a 4 position at UND. I see her as a replacement for Horne, but a better 3-point shooter and more offensively skilled overall.
  21. Finley Ohnstad has committed to UND. Transfer from Kansas St.
  22. It appears VanderWal is returning. Hutter said something about three seniors at the press conference. Aumer and Demers are obviously two of them. By process of elimination, VanderWal must be the third.
  23. Was named defensive player of the year by Prep Hoops Minnesota.
  24. Admission is free.
