  1. Come on guys! Quite that Tech Band!!
  2. Nolan looked good yesterday in relief, plus I think he took last year's title game to 2OT before losing to Michigan 1 - 0.
  3. Pack 31 Lions 21 After going 4 - 0 in the pre-season, they go 0 - 16 when it counts
  4. I stayed home to watch history being made. Lions go 0 - 16
  5. I didn't want to waste $10 on a tix and $15 for parking to see this!!
  6. This is Tech's little get together
  7. Hosts 1 Sad Sacks 0
  8. What Offense? Two of the worst scoring teams in the country have out scored this team!!
  9. Sitting across from the team bench tonight, I thought about a "Fire Hakstol Sign". But in Detroit, everyone would have thought it was just another "Fire Millan Sign".
  10. The Frozen Four confirmation letters have been sent out a little early this year, as I got mine today. Total seating capacity for the 2009 Frozen Four is 18,875. Priority and first time applicants have been allocated 9,626 tickets. Right now the semifinal game times are set for 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Eastern time on Thursday April 9. With the championship game set for 7 p.m. Eastern time Saturday April 11. Of course game times are subject to change. Right now it looks like the same as last year with one ticket for both of the semifinal games unless there are enough complaints to change the first game
  11. Was it Jimmy Kilpatrick from CC that had the other trick shot that went in. Granted it wasn't as great as Ehn's, but it was just as sweet to see something different and fun.
  12. Congrats to the winner! I guess I had a reason to cheer for the golden domers after all in the final game, since they bumped Michigan out. I'll take the 9 wins and a tie for second place in scoring, as a not bad showing this year. Thanks AZSIOUX! To all the Sioux fans I met this year in Denver, I hope to see you all next year in Washington D.C. for another Frozen Four. Sioux fans are the best fans in the country.
  13. Living in the land of the CCHA and watching many of their games, Shegos will make a call on anyone at any time of the game, he plays no favs, but is pretty close to being consitant during the game. Non of that 50/40/10 calling of a game. As a coach, you must know this and tell your players how to expect the ref is going to call the game. Blame the coaches for not scouting the ref and telling his players.
  14. I thought that was in MT
  15. US mint is in town. the site of 1st Quizno's is at 13th and Grant in Capitol Hill neighborhood.
  16. an hr to the north is a Bud brew tour, but better yet in Fort Collins is New Belgium Brew tour (better of the tours and less people). Most will people are more then likely to head to Coors in Golden, NW outer sub. 20 mins west of Golden to Wild Bill Cody grave site overlooking Denver and the front range. Theirs is Red Rocks someplace towards the hills as well.
  17. Alot of empty seats in the lower bowl for both games. Most likely the DU and CC fans that lost out, but wanted to make out on the other fans. The upper bowl was pretty much filled. I am still here till Sunday. Love college hockey!! Wouldn't miss the title game even if I hate both teams with a passion. I will most likely wear a Wayne State jersey as a good-bye to the program. I will miss team and their 150 other fans. Again, the love of college hockey.
  18. fargosioux, We were hoping to see you make it out here this year, but we can understand you staying home now
  19. ND has had BC's number over the last few years. They are 3 - 0 - 1 against BC going back to the 2002-03 season. Last meeting was Oct. 20, 2006 at BC won by ND 7 - 1. The Sioux might want to take note of that record.
  20. Michigan is my #1 team then the Sioux are #2, so this was a bad day all around. Michigan was picked to finnish 4th in the CCHA this year behind 1 Miami 2 Michigan State 3 Notre Dame 4 Michigan So, Michigan had a good year as they won the GLI for the first time in about 9 to 10 years, and was the only school to win both reg. and conf tourneys this year. Not the big prize, but at least they got something to show for their season, when they were not expected to win anything. The Sioux got only W's for their effort this year. I was more disappointed with the Sioux this year than with Michigan. Michigan had only 2 Sr. that played, and they may lose maybe 2 underclassmen to the pros, so they will have a decent team next year, with Hogan in net over Sauer. How many underclassmen Sioux will jump is still unknown. Michigan showed a lot more effort than the Sioux yesterday. I have to say that the ND/Mich game was one of the better WCHA called games I can recall seeing in years.
  21. The alt blacks did not get a WCHA 50 patch. I had the #10 McMahon. The Gem's are so much better than the Nike's. Better crest detail. Check out my webshots link below. IT'S REAL!! I've seen this one in person. It's from a UND on-line auction from a few years ago. I saw the seller at the semi-final game here in Denver. Good guy, but he didn't hit the bar after the second game. He went back to a hotel packed with a bunch of Sioux fans. What stinks is that UND does not keep track of which games they wear which color, to know how many games a jersey was worn in. Michigan in their weekly releases give their record for each color jersey. It would be nice to see the Men's Hockey Team keep that record. So we are not sure how many games this jersey was worn in, as it is a one year style (one year of the new logo on the Gem's).
  22. Just enjoy the snow while you can! How long is that trip back again?
  23. Need to resurface the ice, warm-ups, resurface again. So at least 45 mins.
  24. Party at Brooklyn's across from the arena on SW side.
  25. I maybe at Brooklyn's with my gameworn Kaip jersey on. The Sioux are my #2 team, behind my school of Michigan. I hate Gophers and Badgers!
