wow the 4 ex-sioux that played tonight did VERY well. all 4 got at least 1 point, 6 between them (Parise with 2 goals, Blake with an assist, Stafford with an assist, Zajac with 2 assists). what a great night for former sioux

try my signature. the pics arent mine, but a friend's. but i would think it is ok. -
Don't get yourself caught up in the "fine ND babes" until you've been down south and have seen the multitudes of fine southern belles that central and eastern North Carolina has to offer. Even SC and Georgia have a million of em. Trust me, Ive lived in ND, NC, and GA, and ND is at the bottom of the list. There are some exceptions though. My ex doesnt fall into that category.....but that was my fault

I think there are too many factors to keep him here: 1.) He is ready to go, but 1 more year will have him develop into that 90-100 point NHL player he has the potential to be. 2.) With the D. and O. staying, why would he be the ass to break up the most potent and deadly lines in recent college hockey history? 3.) The Rookie Max will be there in a year too 4.) The Blackhawks have a very high draft pick coming and if he comes in to play right away, JT may not get as much playing time. 5.) He has probably a 95% chance to wear the C for team Canada in the WJ, and he prolly wants to get a third title in a row. any more legit reasons people can think of?

maybe im stupid, but who is "Dutchman"?
-
yeah i dont personally think he needs to leave. Finley needs some more development, especially with not losing his manin the defensive zone. he's got alot of work and maybe Blood will come in a teach him a few things :-D

repost: ha, i sent Jonny a message on facebook with a link to my signature pic saying "in the spirit of keeping the D.O.T. line together, do what's best!!" HAHAH hopefully that is what keeps him here

LOL. Toews = Powerball(s)

-
ok, we got 3/4 of the guys we thought would have the biggest impact on us if they left, now all we need is Jonny....come on buddy, please stay!!

Anyone have the link to the SportsCenter top 10 that had a lammy save as #1? -
i think if MSU stretches Bishop's groin out so much this game, id rather see Bishop and Maine tomorrow than MSU.....
-
thanks! had a friend over at the Carolina Hurricanes forum make it for me. it's my pride and joy :-D they arent my pics though.

lol yeah i know, i was just restating it :-P and yeah, i know that isnt all it is about, but that is first and foremost, and i dont think Ehn or Brown are best all around.
-
to respond to this, i understand completely what you are saying, and i agree with the impact it probably will have. HOWEVER, it SHOULDNT have that impact. this honor isnt about how you are similar to Hobey Baker in your career choice. it isnt about how many times someone from your conference has or hasnt been in this position. it IS about the BEST ALL-AROUND PLAYER IN COLLEGE HOCKEY.
-
i just dont get the deal with Brown and Ehn: Notre Dame didnt hardly play any BIG name, really good schools. They played Michigan for a 2 game series and won both games, played BC once (although dominated the game 7-1), and played Michigan State 3 times (inlcuding the last game) and only won once. The other teams they played were teams like Miami (Ohio), Ohio state, army, air force, nebraska-omaha, northern michigan, robert morris, lake superior state, etc. Not to take anything away from those teams, but they are not WCHA or Hockey East teams, not teams that dominate. I understand Brown had a good save percentage, but that was against teams that dont really score much anyways. the offense in front of him did most of the work for those wins, with one 9 goal game, three 7 goal games, four 6 goal games, and so on. That doesnt speak to his skill as a goalie. He has skill, but he wouldnt last in the WCHA. As for Ehn, ok, he lead the league in scoring. His team played Colorado College once and lost, and they played Denver once, and lost. Other than that they played teams like Mercyhurst (2-2), RIT (1-2-1), Canisius (2-2), Sacred Heart (0-0-2), Bentley (2-2) and Holy Cross (1-0-2). I thought the Hobey Baker was meant to be a sort of MVP of the league. As far as i can tell, regardless of how many goals and assists Ehn got, he didnt do enough to help his team win more then they did, and against teams that they should have beat. Duncan played consistently when this team was bad, and has been racking up the points while we have been amazing as well. Sure he isn't the highest scoring player, or the best playmaker, but he earned playor of the year in the toughest conference in the NCAA, and he also earned player of the year for the whole NCAA from one of the top college analysis sites in the country. I think Duncan has done enough, in the hardest conference, to prove he has earned this honor more than anyone left. If Hensick was still in it, he'd win. but he isnt. Brown is a good goalie....but only at that level. Ehn is a high scorer, but against bad teams, and didnt even help his team beat those teams enough. Plus, UND is still in the hunt for the NC. So as far as im concerned, Duncan deserves the Hobey Baker more than Brown or Ehn.

BREEEEEEAAAATTTTHHHHHEEEEE!!!!.............. ok, now that that is out of the way. Wow what a stressful week this is going to be. Duncan has been racking up the honors, and he still has 2 he is shooting for (pun intended ). And Hak has one as well. What is so stressful is that we could get all 3, or we could not get any. Our chances are good to get at least 1 of the 3, but who knows. All i know is this week is gonna be as stressful as the OT vs. Minnesota. That's the only thing i could equate it to. National Championship, Hobey Baker award, and Coach of the Year all are possible this week, and it's a LOOOONG week ahead of us. I just hope the guys take this week to rest, recover, and increase their grit going into Thirsday night because they will have to give it their all against a very good BC team. Let's just keep our spirits up and stay positive about what is coming up this weekend and we will be fine! GO SIOUX!!!!

Commodore had a snipe from the point last night against the Lightning. Was the game winner, at that point, if the Lightning wouldnt have come back and won (grrrrrrr) but a sweet goal nonetheless. his reaction was cool too
-
exactly. which is why Hak won't win it. even though he has [at this point] every qualification to have it, except maybe #8, but me thinks he'll be adding it next week. we'll see...would be nice to get all 3, but we also could come home with none of them. so im crossin my fingers..... GO SIOUX!!!

Jeff Jackson of Notre Dame isnt taking his [fluke year] team to a third Frozen Four in 3 years, in his 3rd year as coach of a team in the toughest conference in college hockey......is. he?
-
well im sorry you dont know what im talking about, but trust me, I know what im talking about because i talked to Brady PER-SON-AL-LY and he told me what was going on. but once again that was over a year ago, and i dont have it memorized exactly what it was called word for word, so im sorry im not the all-knowing PCM, but im the knows-enough-thanks-to-talking-to-BRADY-himself ecuhockeyguy......
