Watching the Wild play the Blues right now on FSN, and at the end of the banner I just heard a very noticable "...home of the SIOUX" on tv. That was impressive!
....that is, unless it was "...home of the BLUES".
I only lived in Grand Forks for the years I was in school so I definitely have a different point of view, but is there really that kind of "rivalry" between people who live on the north side and those on the south? Does the three or four mile difference really matter that much to those who grew up there?
I'm listening to the streaming audio on FightingSioux.com and they're still playing pre-game. Maybe the gametime got pushed back when CBS College Sports picked up the game (totally speculating).
I think you should only get the power play if the goal is scored on a delayed penalty before the goalie leaves the ice. If the goalie is still on the ice then it's still 5-on-5. If he leaves the ice and you score with the extra skater, then you shouldn't get the powerplay because in reality you already got your power play goal.
